Hey there splinter guys and Hivers! I wish you have/had a great day out there! Here's my entry for this week's social media challenge.

Halfling Refugee

Lore:

Since the Chaos Empire conquered Praeotria, the land has seen a refugee crisis the likes of which it has never before known. With major cities and smaller villages alike torn apart by war, famine, and disease, very few sanctuaries remain.
In the Great Lowlands, many of these refugees travel to Fireboro, where the republic’s former chancellor and those loyal to him have established safe havens for those who lost their homes to the empire. Among them are the Republic of Fireboro’s Praetorian halflings, whose shires were mostly destroyed by the legions of Chaos. They remain defiant, yet it’s hard to keep fighting the good fight when you’ve lost everything you hold dear.

  • One of my new favorite cards in Splinterlands. I am almost using this Epic card for low to medium mana ruleset as long it was not restricted. With a 1 Mana to booth, a little space requirement for this card to join the battle. With a level 4 Halfling Refugee that I owned at the moment, It is really what i consider one of the cream of the crop for the splinterlands cards that I collected. It posses self heal and a nice attacking power with a good speed and tanky too. It is really worth your money specially it is a neutral card!

  • With that introduction of Halfling Refugee, let us see a battle example for the said card.

We are going to play with the ruleset:

Stampede and we can send team in 36 Mana Capacity. I am playing the Death splinter for this round.

  • Choosing Astral Entity as my summoner possessing buff that subtracts the armor of the opponent by two, I feel that this is the summoner that can fit the Stampede Ruleset. Since its just in medium mana battle as i see it, i am placing Creep Beetle in my 1st Position followed by Arachne Thug that got reach and Trample ability that which i think perfect match of our ruleset. Queen of Crows, i still wonder why this card is a range damage dealer in magician costume, which will slow down and provide negative effect to the opposing team. Lira the Dark, will boost my team's speed and will be providing a great deal of Range damage to my opponent. Placing Doctor Blight in my 5th position with its too many to mention skills on its resume, one of my personal Fav card, will be main magic damage dealer and finally the star of this blog Halfling Refugee. So why am i placing this card at the back? The card stats as you can see, even in just level 4, posses a big chunky number of life which can absorb few hits from sneak's and can heal itself. So with that, i am sure that the back of my team is well protected.

Battle Preview

Earth Splinter will be my opponent this round. I think i have higher chance of winning since i posses most maxed level cards than my opponent. But still, you can never know.

After a few rounds of attack and defense between me and my opponent, Its obvously i am gaining the upper hand of the battle. But really, damage dealers really never missed so my team also suffers casualties.

Continuing, my team dominates the battlefield and its my win.
Although I did not let the Halfling Refugee took the spotlight in this battle because there are no back attackers, you can also place it in front of your team to be a tank with its skill and life points and even its decent amount of melee damage.

Full Battle can be watched HERE.

I opened some Gladius Packs this time and here are what i obtained:
