Since todays daily quest yielded very much boring rewards in roughly 100dec, 1 rare and 2 commons, i thought about shifting the focus a little bit.
I think especially for the huge influx of new players a rental strategy is important to get the most of the game but without spending a fortune on cards.
I am in my third season at the moment and i myself dont own a huge stock of cards. So i consider myself quite fresh to the game.
To me this season isnt comparable to the last two seasons, because of prize developement in the rental market.
In the last two seasons i had no trouble going for 2 splinters with a deep roster and add a dragon splinter with some cards to gain more flexibility.
This, at least for me, isnt working anymore this season. Prices went up so hard.
Take Tower Griffin as an example.
The last 2 seasons i rented max level without thinkin about it. This season i went with lvl6 cos that seemed like a good deal between price and strenght.
Luckily my rental is quite old and didnt get canceled yet. As you can see in the screenshot it would be factor 6 for the same level now.
So what to do now going forward?
Ill try to keep my key monsters at high level to be able to compete in diamond league. But not at all costs. My aim is to not spend more than 1.5k dec a day on rentals. At the moment i pay around 2k. So there is further need to cut down costs.
Rentals that are canceled by the owner are not renewed by me at the moment so that i can experience if this card is really needed.
So in this regard today worked out quite well. I went roughly 550k power down to 338k.
I still went on a good streak to claim diamond 1 from low diamond 2 rating again but got not enough power to advance.
Since i already visited and secured season rewards in diamond 1, i feel no need to aquire the additional power just for 2 additional chests a day.
The loss of the third splinter feels frustrating from time to time when you get really unlucky and get few games in a row where you dont hit one of your two splinters. But eventually it seems to even out.
In following posts i will dive a little deeper into my lineup.
Let me know what you would like to hear.
Happy dec hunting:)
