Yea I play this ruleset the same way using water splinter. If your opponent doesn't understand the simplicity of the rules its pretty much always an easy win !PIZZA

Nice breakdown. It is interesting to hear your strategic perspective after playing so much myself and coming to similar conclusions about certain rulesets. Peaceful giant is not a card I have considered much here but worth a closer look for this ruleset. There are a lot of cards I don't play much so I don't level them and then I really never play them, but they all really have their moments to shine. Keep up the good work.
