Social Media Challenge - Krash Wonderford

Hello Splinterlanders, it has been a while! My last post was in May! I needed a break from posting and now I am back with a new post in the Social Media Challenge.

With all the recent changes, I have been doing two things: play more ranked battles and hoard merits to get more gladiator cards. Boy it works well and I got rid of the bot completely. Ranked battles pay out a lot more SPS now, battling is fun again and those sweet merits are rolling in! In this manner I have been able to level up some gladiators lately and in today's Social Media Challenge, I would like to feature one of my favourite gladiators, Krash Wonderford and show you a battle with my beloved super speed stragegy.

Other things I have been doing is focus more on brawls and level up my soulbound legendaries. This costs a lot of DEC so writing posts is back on my agenda ;)

Whenever I come across the Are You Not Entertained? ruleset, which allows you to field a gladiator in ranked battles, I consider my options carefully. Gladiators not only have game changing powers in brawls but can also almost guarantee your victories in ranked battles. As I am accumulating more merits to buy gladiator packs, my gladiators become more and more powerful. As there are no more league gates, I can bring my most powerful gladiators to wreak havoc in any battle.

The chosen battle in today's Social Media Challenge not only features my favourite summoner, Jacek the Conqueror, one of my favourite gladiators, Krash Wonderford, but also demonstrates the killer effect of ultimate speed manipulation with Swiftness and Blind abilities.

Here are the battle stats:

RULESET(S): Are You Not Entertained?
MANA: 32

Here is the team I put together:

I use my favourite summoner, Conqueror Jacek, whenever I can. I always go for him when the red splinter is available, unless it is a very low mana battle. His abilities to give +2 speed to the team together with Scattershot and Piercing are great conditions for putting together a powerful lineup with focus on speed... and chance.

Here is the hero of the day, Krash Wonderford. Putting him in first position is a gamble on the one hand with lack of protection against magic attack. On the other hand, his great speed and the Thorns ability make him a great anti-melee tank and a strong defender against range attack. When he gets kills through Thorns he becomes even stronger through Bloodlust, the hallmark of gladiator monsters. His stats speak for themselves when talking about speed.

The Xenith Archer is in second position to act as cannon fodder and provide more mana to the rest of the team. He is fast and 2 range for 2 mana is a very good deal.

Countess Sinash, with her multiple abilities including Swiftness is highly destructive, especially when coupled with Jacek. She is placed in the middle of the pack to protect her from attacks on the backline. Unless the frontline collapses, she is well hidden through Camouflage and will happily terrorize the enemy monster with the lowest health.

Supply Runner is a regular inclusion in my teams. Swiftness and Strengthen are very useful abilities to give to the rest of the team and with 3 attack, he can do a lot of damage to the opposition.

The Spirit Hoarder is also an important inclusion in a speed strategy. He provides Blind, which gives another 15% miss chance on top of the speed differentials from Yacek, Krash, Sinash and Runner. Although he is slow as a blind snail, he can be very effective and also provides extra support for the tailend with Triage.

Uraeus is present in most of my battles. He is cheap, fast, does 3 damage and poisons the enemy tailend. He is the first Choas Legion reward card that I levelled up and his userate is above 90%.

So after discussing team and battle strategy, let's look at how the battle plays out!

ROUND ONE

The battle beganwith all the buffs and debuffs, giving Krash a whopping 13 speed! Xenith Monk left early at the hands of Deep Lurker and by the end of the round, Krash had already tallied 4 misses!

ROUND TWO

Round 2 began fast, too. Spirit Hoarder took out the Pelakor Bandit and the playing field was at 5:5. Krash then collected another 3 misses!

ROUND THREE

In Round 3 Countess Sinash continued to spread fire and got her first kill by disposing of the Angelic Mandarin. Next the Spirit Hoarder took out the Deep Lurker and it was looking grim for the enemy with only three monsters left on the board. Then cam another two misses for Krash to end the round.

ROUND FOUR

The end was nigh. Uraeus got his first scalp by toasting the Wave Brood. There were only Diemonshark and that silly fiend left to get rid of. Krash was missed again!

ROUND FIVE

Diemondshark got seriously damaged, missed striking Krash and died of poison at the beginning of the 6th round. We then ran to the fridge for a nice cold beer.

Krash Wonderford collected 10 misses in this battle and left the field unscathed but was also lucky to see no magic monsters among the enemy team.

⚔WATCH BATTLE⚔

I hope you enjoyed reading my post and I will see you again soon for another Social Media Challenge!

WHAT IS SPLINTERLANDS?

Splinterlands is an autobattle digital card game on the Hive blockchain. The playing cards are NFTs, therefore they belong to you and you can trade, transfer or delegate them as you please. All you need to move cards and other ingame assets around is a Hive Keychain login. There are three types of battles you can play: ranked battles, brawls and tournaments. Every battle you win brings rewards, including SPS and/or loot chests containing cards, potions, packs and merits. The ingame currency is DEC and the governance token is SPS. For gladiator packs you need to earn merits through brawls and loot chests. Tournaments can bring you stacks of SPS if you play well. There are several third party card markets, including Peakmonsters.com and the best places to learn to play are PeakD and YouTube.

In this battle, I found everything what I was expecting from Conqueror the Jacek. Speed, Scattershot and opportunity with blast of Countess Sinash compelled your opponent for a comprehensive defeat. Diemonshark proving helpless against speed of Krash Wanderford.
Really legendary battle squad with max level summoner Conqueror the Jacek.

oh yes. Jacek is just the best and together with Sinash they are an unbeatable pair

Yes, of course, mate. 🙏🙏
