Welcome back to the fifth season of my Splinterlands career. Last season my in game investment was worth a total of $1,242.12. In total we had $1015 invested last season. Meaning we were up $227.12 on the investment. This season we invested an additional $200. This brings the total investment to $1215. The $200 was invested completely in SPS this season. All investments before were in cards. This totals our investment of 1015 in cards and 200 in SPS.

My latest EOS post got a lot of engagement and upvotes. The upvote from monster-curator lead to a big SPT reward. These rewards have all been delegated. I have not yet included the SPT rewards in this post, even though I could exchange them for SPS. I want to keep compounding the rewards for now and might decide to add them in the future, because the rewards are also a form of return.
WHY SPS?
Last season I was trying to up my SPS by selling my earned DEC for SPS. It was a little bit slow for me. The voucher rate and SPS was not increasing fast enough for me. Now I hold a decent bag of SPS. Vouchers are increasing at an okay rate and I don't have to sell my DEC to stack up on SPS. Currently out of all my investments in the crypto space, SPS is the one I am the most bullish on. Also I wanna start participating in tournaments to better my gameplay, but the high staked SPS requirements for gold make it hard to be able to participate in them.
My best rewards
This season my rewards were great. I made a post earlier about my second gold foil. However, it was not long until I got my third and fourth gold foil as well. I didn't make a post about all of them to avoid becoming a spam account. This season I did not get a pack at all. Also the EOS rewards were not good. Mostly commons.
What is my future goal
Currently my goal is to compound all SPS earned. There is no incentive for me to trade SPS for cards or DEC. And I wanna have the most possible for Play and Earn release and the new card set. All DEC i earn is currently converted towards cards, because cards are still really cheap and the return on rent is currently still great, especially towards the end of the season.

As CL packs are still in sale for $4,00 that is their current worth to me and not the secondary market price. Same goes for the potions, they have their worth but are not sellable.

Currrent Return on Investment
Based on this information my Return on investment is +$170,88. In my fifth season of playing. The market went down a little bit. Cards & SPS are down. Those two are the main reason my profit went down a little bit. However,The potential of this game is just great. If you would like to follow this series. Playing in the tournaments is where you will really hone your skills and totally worth it, don’t focus to much on the return and just build out a competitive deck.
Agreed. For me it is gameplay & enjoyment first. I really want to expand my gameplay to tournaments to see my skill level. Currently in Gold my level 2 summoner decks do not always have a chance against those level 3-4-5-6 decks. Not really much I can do about most losses. Really want to see my skill level at an even playing field.
Great report. Looks like you started investing around the correct time. My card investment is down 30+% so I bought in a little early. However I still enjoyed getting cards one at a time and seeing my win percentage go up.

Yes exactly, however it is nice to see I am currently in profit from playing the game, it is not my the main goal at the moment. I am definitely not planning on selling anything anytime soon. I also enjoy the blogging and community.

Normally I wouldn't "schill" my content like that but since you specifically said you were looking for some I figure it's okay.
I do recaps of as many tournaments as I play in as I can, time and effort permitting of course so my content might interest you. Recapping the battle, talking about my strategy, team compositions, cards I rent for the tournament, etc.
Theirs a learning curve for sure but once you get decent at them it's bonus gains you couldn't pull in other wise.
