With this post I want to bring a proposal that I've thought about that could benefit the entire Splinterlands ecosystem - add the ability to stake packs on Land. This will incentivize players to buy packs and HODL on to them which should improve their price on the market which for some edition has fallen quite much. The players will be able to stake one or more packs at a predefined power on Land in order to harvest for different resources. That's their benefit for holding the packs and using them to earn something.
Buy packs supporting the game development
We all know that when we buy packs, they directly fund the game’s development, supporting new features, updates, and a stronger community around it. The more packs sold, the better the game can evolve and thrive for everyone. Tokenomics should improve as well through a bigger player base.
Remove packs from the market, improving the price
Staking packs on Land would reduce the number available for sale, by creating scarcity and driving up demand. This could help stabilize or even increase the market price of packs over time which has decreased significantly in some cases.
Staking packs on Land gives more utility
Instead of just holding unopened packs like I am doing now with over 700 Chaos Legion packs, players can actively use them to generate resources on their Land. This makes packs feel more valuable because they offer an extra layer of utility beyond opening them for cards. Thus, both packs and land tokenomics should improve.
Improve cards scarcity as packs are not opened
Packs that are staked aren’t being opened, which reduces the number of cards entering circulation. Fewer cards available means increased rarity, making existing cards potentially more valuable. In the end both packs and cards prices should rise to near selling prices.
Bring a new use case for packs and land
Right now, packs and Land have limited ways they interact. Adding pack staking creates a fresh, exciting use case that ties these two assets together, giving players more ways to strategize and engage.
I believe that adding packs staking on Land could be a good move for Splinterlands, benefiting both players and the ecosystem alike. It would encourage more packs purchases, stabilize the market, and add more utility to packs, cards and Land. By reducing the number of packs being opened, this proposal could improve scarcity and create long-term value for the entire community. I hope this will have an echo in the Splinterlands community and within the team as well and maybe see it to fruition. That would be awesome!

If the team is what their users say they are and if they do that, people will be more interested in the project because people who are playing the game every day will know that the addition of this stuff will make the game and It will become famous all over the world.
