Hello everyone, this time I will be participating in this Splinterlands Challenge, where I will battling against Ulfga and Night Stalker in the modern league.

Ulfga, is the new legendary unit that is available in the Exclusive Shop. She has 5 abilities at max level, and 2 of them are new. Unfortunately, she is the first unit that has no attack that cannot gain attack from the Weapons Training due to being Untrainable. And she has the Poison Burst ability, that means that the enemy who defeats her will be cursed by Poison and 50% chance to apply poison to the attacker's adjacent units. Additionally, Ulfga reduces the speed and health of enemy units by 1. She can also self-resurrect thanks to her Rebirth ability.

Ideal for the Little League ruleset as she is a 4 mana unit. Poison Burst is very dangerous for many units, so only units with the Immunity ability can counter it, as they are immune to poison.

In this battle, the mana cap is only 14, and only death and dragon elements are available. Knowing that there are some units with Sneak that cost little mana, I initially wanted to play them, but since the chances of the enemy being able to play them as well were high, I decided to counter the potential enemy melee units with Ever-Hungry Skull, it only has 1 health but 11 armor, and the main reason I chose this unit was because of its Thorns ability, which deals 2 damage to the melee unit that attacks it. And I also chose Venator Kinjo, thanks to his Amplify ability, the thorns will deal 3 melee damage, giving no chance to melee units to survive.

I chose Quix as my summoner to reduce the ranged attack and speed of all enemy units. In the first position is Halfling Refugee, a great epic reward card that only costs 1 mana and has great stats, it has the Weary debilitation, but is still strong. In the second position, Vruz has the martyr ability, so when he is defeated his adjacent allies will gain +1 to all stats. In the fourth and fifth position, Corpse Fiend and Elanor, both units have a mana cost of 0, so why not, extra units most of the times is good. And my combo against melee units as I say before, Venator Kinjo and Ever-Hungry Skull.

As I predicted, the enemy played the strongest 4 mana sneak unit right now, Night Stalker, who also has the Blast and the Execute ability, and not only that, he also has really greats stats. What I didn't expect at all was Ulfga.

In the first round, Night Stalker attacks Hungry Skull and destroys my Elanor Bravefoot due to his Blast, but not without taking 3 physical damage from the thorns.

In the second round, Night Stalker defeats my Corpse Fiend due to the blast, but is also defeated by the thorns.

In the third round, Vruz defeats Naga Assassin. And Ulfga is defeated for first time by my Halfling Refugee, and due to her Poison Burst ability, Refugee and Vruz are affected by poison.

In the fourth round, Vruz is defeated by the poison, increasing the stats of his adjacent allies by 1.

In the fifth round, once again, Halfling Refugee defeats the resurrected Ulfga, but this time definitely.

In the sixth round, Halfing destroys enemy Corpse Fiend. But, in the seventh to tenth round, Halfling Refugee Weary's ability activates and he becomes Exhausted, unable to attack or heal. In the eleventh round, unable to heal himself, he is defeated by the poison. And Venator Kinjo ends the battle by defeating Elanor.

Fortunately, my strategy worked this time, although Ever-Hungry Skull was unable to attack from the last positon, it killed Night Stalker, the unit with the highest attack damage in the enemy lineup. And with his defeat, my victory was inevitable, as other enemies only had 1 attack power. Only Ulfga could be a problem due to her Poison Burst, but I had my Venator Kinjo who is immune to that, so it wasn't a problem this battle.

That's all for now, if you haven't played Splinterlands yet, you can join with my referral link. See you on the battlefield!
