Centaur ^{(COMMON Neutral Monster).}

This is the monster that I abandoned long ago thinking this is not that helpful for a battle although I used to like it very much at the beginning. The problem at the beginning was that I didn't understand the rules of the game back then and I thought a monster is helpful when I saw it attacking without getting hit and a monster is not helpful that only gets hit. But I didn't understand why a monster kept getting hit and probably that's why I dumped a lot of monsters that I liked and this one is one of em. Right now I have a nice feeling about this monster as I know it has nice powers and with the nice rule and proper position, it can do better.

A Brief Info About The Battle

The battle mana cap was 19 with the "Standard" rule where I've used the death splinter and my opponent used the fire splinter against me.

After selecting Thaddius Brood as the summoner, I had Cursed Windeku with 2 melee attacks & the "Thorns" ability at the 1^st position, Darkest Mage with a magic attack at the 2^nd position, Life Sapper with a magic attack & the "Life Leech" ability at the 3^rd position, Centaur with a ranged attack & the "Snipe" ability at the 4^th position and Furious Chicken at the last position.

And my opponent had his/her cards as Living Lava with 3 melee attacks & the "Shield" ability at the 1^st position, Mantoid with 2 ranged attacks & the "Snipe" ability at the 2^nd position and Serpentine Spy with 2 melee attacks & the "Opportunity" ability at the last position.

For the special buff of my summoner, all 2 of my opponent's monsters lost 1 speed each and if there were magic monsters in my opponent team with more than 1 magic attack then they'd lose 1 magic attack each but it didn't happen, and for the special buff of my opponent's summoner, all the opponent monsters got +1 speed each.

Then... for being the most speed holder, my opponent's Serpentine Spy started the battle with the first attack and grilled my chicken. Then the opponent's Mantoid attacked next and killed my Darkest Mage for good; two of my monsters died with the first 2 shots. Then my Centaur attacked and killed 1 health of the opponent's Mantoid. Then my Cursed Windeku was about to destroy the whole shield of the opponent's Living Lava but the Living Lava protected one shield with the "Shield" ability that reduces damage from ranged and melee attacks. Then my Life Sapper attacked and killed 1 health of the opponent's Living Lava and my Life Sapper then got +1 health for having the "Life Leech" ability that increases the monster's health each time it damages an enemy monster's health in proportion to the damage dealt. Then the opponent's Living Lava attacked and killed 3 health of my Cursed Windeku and my Cursed Windeku destroyed the remaining shield of the opponent's Living Lava for having the "Thorns" ability that damage back to the attacker when get hit by a melee attacker.

There came a new round where the opponent's Serpentine Spy first attacked and killed 2 health of my Life Sapper out of 3. Then the opponent's Mantoid threw its ranged attacks towards my Life Sapper and my monster had to leave the battlefield immediately after that attack for losing all the health. Then my Centaur attacked and killed 1 health of the opponent's Mantoid. Then my Cursed Windeku attacked and killed 1 health of the opponent's Living Lava out of 4. Then the opponent's Living Lava attacked and killed 3 health of my Cursed Windeku out of 6 and my Cursed Windeku also attacked and killed 1 more health of the opponent's Living Lava for having the "Thorns" ability.

Now, there came another round where the opponent's Serpentine Spy attacked and killed 2 health of my Cursed Windeku and the opponent monster had to leave the battlefield after that as my Cursed Windeku used the "Thorns" ability and killed the only health of the opponent monster. Then my Centaur attacked and killed 1 health of the opponent's Mantoid out of 2. Then the opponent's Mantoid attacked and killed 2 health of my Centaur as well out of 4. Then my Cursed Windeku attacked and killed 1 health of the opponent's Living Lava and the opponent monster now had only 1 health left while my Cursed Windeku also had only 1 health left. Then the opponent's Living Lava attacked and killed the remaining health of my Cursed Windeku but before leaving the battlefield, my Cursed Windeku used the "Thorns" ability and killed the only health of the opponent's Living Lava as well so both tank monsters of both teams had to leave the battlefield. Then the opponent's Mantoid and my Centaur both came forward to the first position and they became face to face and both of em became unable to attack for being ranged monsters at the first position and my Centaur had 2 health left while the opponent monster had only 1 health left. Now, all they could do was wait to see what happens next. Then from round 3 to round 21 = a total of 18 rounds went by without any attacks and then there was fatigue on both teams. First, my Centaur lost 1 health out of 2 and then the opponent's Mantoid lost the only health it had so the opponent team had to leave the battlefield after announcing me the winner of this battle.

The battle finished in round 21 while my team only had the Centaur alive. All my monsters did great on the battlefield.
