Rage The Carry Dragon

what's up Splinter Player around the world how are you doing?
In this content i want to share about the batte that make me interesting and watching twice. I focusing on only one monster that is Rage

Okay,Rage is legendary Rebellion Edition card. This units maybe not to good in low level. But after entering level 3, this units really really be a badass monster that can be a good tanker and also can be a carry unit monster. Why is that?
It non other because of this units stats and also the ability.
At level 3 Rage having 4 magic damage which is it is really high damage. And this monster also having good ability. Okay lets talk the ability at maxed level so you guys can considerate to maxed this units level. Maybe i will buy this card if i have some money. But, it will be later.
The ability that Rage have at maxed level is

  • Flying : this ability is immune to Earthquake Ruleset and also flying will make having chance to dodging melee or range attack 25%
  • Void : this ability will compress the damage from Magic attack. Thats why i said this units can be a good tanker.
  • Weapon Training : Gives adjacent non attack units attack type.This monster having magic type attack so the non attacker units that flanked this unit will get magic type attack too. But 3 as maxed.
  • Life Leech : This ability will adding maximum health after dealing damage to opponent. So, it steal health as maximum health. That will be very troublesome if opponent did not calculate properly.
  • Affliction : This ability will make units that got hit cannot be healed.

See! like what i told you that Rage can be a carry unit but also can be a tanker unit right. This units is really great and can having so much combination gameplay. But, there is one concern that this units will hardly to pick. The first is Manacost. This units manacost is 16 which is it is super high among any monster unit in Splinterlands. So, if battling the titan in Splinterlands universe. This monster chance of winning is huge. But, when dealing with average manacap or even low manacap. This units cannot be used and really waste. The second this unit having 5 magic type damage which is really Dangerous and easy to predict and counter. Especially Forcefield ability monster still be used in right now meta lately. So, that will be double-edge sword that can make our strategies not working anymore. Okay i will share one battle that i am using Rage as both support and carry in my team.

This time i encountered with MGM24 from Tryhard Gaming guild. I dont know this opponent. Maybe i just encountered with this player once or twice since maybe he is on Champ league and i still on my Diamond League. And seems like the opponent having completed card too. And the ruleset is

There are 3 ruleset in this battle the first ruleset is Taking Sides that means both players cannot using any neutral monster units. The second ruleset is Explosive Weaponry that means all monster units will having blast ability and gives adjacent damage after hit. And the last but not least is Reverse Speed that means now the slowest monster will be the fastest monster. And the manacap that can be used in this battle is 51 which is average. And the only element that cannot be used in this battle is Earth Element.

Okay from the picture above you can see that the opponent strategy is using Akane as summoner that can gives 2 monster ambush ability. So the choosen monster units can attacking first even before the round 1 started. And opponent line up is seems formidable. Having mostly using Melee attack in Diamond especially in Diamond 1 is kinda suicidal Since many opponent using Eternal Tofu as summoner and it will gives thorns ability and make opponent that hitting get thorns.

Meanwhile in my team i am using almost all cards is using Magic type attack. but in my strategy i am using 2 carry unit monster with 2 non attack support that can flanking my Rage so they will get magic type attack. Since my team line up is less melee damage and using mostly magic type attack. But i am picking up 2 carry monster unit in this battle. The first one is of course that is Rage. The second my main carry units monster is Raa. Since Raa having slow speed and having pretty good health that will be very compatible in this ruleset.And also i am using Akane as summoner.

The summary of this battle is thanks to my Raa, since Raa is the slowest monster in arena. Raa officialy opening a battle. And in round 1 my Raa seems like targeting opponent with random since having scattershot ability. But, in round 1 Raa constantly attacking monster twice. That will give pretty hard damage to opponent that having high manacost. And absolutely My Rage can be used as Carry and Support in this battle. The first round of course Rage will attacking the target. Bringing Cursed Windeku as frontline tanker is kinda easy especially the battle of giants. But,with healing abilities, i believe that Cursed Windeku can holding on longer. But, it turns out that opponent is very easy to defeat this time. The opponent hardly attacking my Chaos Animator but it seems okay with the magic damage that he can taken. And of course this battle was really easy. It seems that the oponent does not have any energy to countering my my line up properly.
