Hello Guys!
I'm back again with my Splinterlands post to join Splingerlnads Social Media Challenge. I will share my first battle experience using a new Summoner from the Death element, namely the Astral Entity, which according to many people, this Summoner is quite over power. I'm grateful to finally finish this piece of writing and I hope you'll like what I'm going to share.
Astral Entity is the 13th Airdrop Card to unlock from the Chaos Legion Pack sales event. This airdrop will be unlocked every One Million Chaos Legion packs sold. Astral Entity is the fifth Chaos Legion Legendary Summoner to open, having previously unlocked Summoner Grandmaster Rathe, Conqueror Jacek, Possibilus The Wish, and Immorlatis.
Just like the previous Summoner who has 3 abilities, the Astral Entity also has -2 Armor, Dodge, and Resurrect. Looking at the abilities possessed, I think the moaning strategy is the most suitable for this Summoner. Unfortunately, the average speed of the Death monsters is quite low, so you really have to think a little hard so that the monster summoner combination can work effectively. Well, honestly it's still Grandmaster Rathe who became my Favorite Legendary Summoner Chaos Legion.
Guys, you know I'm not a Proplayer and neither am I a tournament hero – I'm just happy to share battle strategies I think my own views of the battles I find interesting. I did this battle on the Gold league, and maybe the strategy I used was not suitable for other leagues because of the difference in the abilities that are open from each monster.
ASTRAL ENTITY
LORE
From the shadows and the ether comes an eldritch entity known only as the Astral Entity. It is a celestial being that drifts through rifts in reality, searching for new planes and realms. There are almost no recordings of the Astral Entity in the athenaeums of the Splinterlands, but if one was to search through forgotten scrolls in the cobwebbed corners of ancient libraries, one would find the briefest mentions of this being. Snippets from across the centuries mention a humanoid shape made of cosmic energy. No one knows where it came from or what it wants, but it has only been recorded doing one thing: observing. (Full Lore in Splinterlands)
STATS
Astral Entity has 6 mana capacity and has 3 abilities that is -2 Armor (All enemy Monsters have -2 Armor), Dodge (All friendly Monster receive an increased chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks), and Resurrect (This Summoner will resurrect on friendly Monster after it dies).
Just like other Legendary Summoners, level 1 is for playing Bronze and Novice leagues, level 2 is for Silver leagues, level 3 is for Gold leagues, and max level is for Diamond and Champion leagues.
BATTLE PREPARATION
The rulesets in this battle are Weak Magic (Magic attack hit Armor before reducing Health) with Mana Cap 52 and Element active Fire, Water, Death and Dragon.
This is a high battle where some monsters that are very strong and have large mana will also be used in this battle. It's fitting that these rulesets are Weak Magic, so it will klop with Summoner Astral Entity which reduces 2 opponents' Armor. So it will save at least 2 attacks for all the opposing monsters.
I will explain the strategy of each monster in the table below:
Monster | Position | Ability | Strategy |
---|---|---|---|
Harklaw | First (Tank) | Shield, Immunity, Demoralize | The perfect tank for these rulesets, because it has good stats with high HP, as well as having Armor. Her abilities are also very strong, because He has a Shield that will reduce the attacks received from Melee and range monsters. Demoralize ability will reduce Melee's 1 attack, so if the opponent only has 2 Melee attacks and makes an attack on Harklaw then he will only feel amused without any attacks that owe HP or Armor. |
Djinn Muirat | Second (Tank, Attacker) | Void Armor, Knock Out, Giant Killer, Reflect Magic | Second Tank which also has a large HP and Armor. It has the ability Void Armor, and Reflect Magic which makes this monster the perfect tank to repel Magic attacks. This monster also has the abilities of Giant Killer and Knock out. As an attacker, this monster has 3 Magic attacks. This stat is certainly very good both as a Tank and an Attacker. |
Silent Sha-Vi | Third (Attacker) | Sneak, Cripple | One of my favorite Death monsters is because it has high speed and also great damage. At this level, the Cripple ability is also active, and the stats are also good. |
Supply Runner | Fourth (Support, Attacker) | Swiftness | This neutral monster has a Swiftness ability that makes me choose this monster in my formation because this abi;ity will increase 1 speed for all monster friends and of course Dodge from Asral Entity will be more useful because the chance to avoid the opponent's attack will certainly increase as well. |
Dhampir Stalker | Fifth (Main Attacker) | True Strike, Deathblow | Dhampir Stalker is the damage deal in my formation, with 4 Range damage and has True Strike ability which means that the attack will definitely hit the target and will not miss. |
Lira The Dark | Last (Attacker, Support) | Opportunity, Snare, Swiftness | I think Lira The Dark is a nightmare for opponents, as it has the abilities Opportunity, Snare and Swiftness. This means that the Speed of all monster friends will increase by 2 because in this formation there are also 2 Swiftness attacks. Another special feature of this monster is that it has a very high speed and quite good damage, namely 3 Range attack. |
The opponent uses Summoner Kelya Frendul who buffs +1 Armor and +1 Speed. For Tanks in the first position, there is a Diemonshark with Trample and Enrage abilities that have been activated. In second place is Flyng Squid which has Reach and Blind ability. In third and fourth place are Magic monsters Nerissa Tridawn and River Hellondale who have Resurrect and Inspire abilities. In fifth place is Deeplurker, an Opportunity monster that has great damage and also has the Poson ability. And in the last position there is a Supply Runner that has Swiftness ability.
All opposing monsters will get +2 speed buffs, from Summoner and Swiftness Supply Runner. This is the same as me receiving +2 speed from 2 swiftness. Well, what was the course of this match like? Let's shift to the battlefield arena!
BATTLEFIELD ARENA
I have uploaded the video of this battle to my channel, so to see the course of this battle you can also directly click the youtube video below.
This battle runs quite fast, it only takes 4 rounds to complete this battle. Let's discuss round by round!
Round 1
The battle begins with the awarding of buffs and debuffs from all monsters and summoners. Even though both of them get +2 speed buffs, the average speed of my monsters is higher than that of opponent, so I get a chance to attack early with Lira The Dark which has the highest speed, and then followed by Silent Sha-Vi. Harklaw gets a barrage of attacks so towards the end of this first round Harklaw dies and then Resurrect by Summoner Astral Entity.
Round 2
Vengeance begins in the Second Round, although now Diemonshark is the first attacker because of the active Enrage Ability. Without waiting long, River Hellomdale died, and was followed by Supply Ranner who subsequently died. Diemonshark also died from Dhampir Stalker's attack. Now there are only 3 opposing monsters left. This round ended with Harklaw finally completely dead.
Round 3-4
Because Diemonshark is dead, now Lira The Drak is back to be the fastest monster. Flying Squid, which is now a tank, finally died because of an attack from the Supply Runner. NerissaTridawn who is a Magic monster goes head-to-head with Djinn Muirat who has a strong Magic. Although it can last until the end of the third round, the remaining HP is also very thin.
Eventually at the beginning of round 4, the Supply Runner dies from the Poison of the Deeplurker. The last round in which finally all the opposing monsters were killed one by one. I won this battle with 4 monsters left.
STRATEGY DISCUSSION
The strategy I implemented worked very well in this batlle. Combining the Astral Entity by providing as much buff speed as possible so that your Dodge can work effectively. In addition, monsters that have considerable damage are needed so that the battle can be completed as quickly as possible.
I think this Summoner Astral Entity is indeed designed for aggressive combat, must attack as quickly as possible and kill the opponent before the opponent makes an attack for our team. I think Lira The Dark must be brought if you bring an Astral Entity summoner.
CONCLUTION
From this battle, I can conclude that:
- I don't hate the Astral Entity, but also have no affinity for this Summoner.
- If you use an Astral Entity as a Summoner, the most cock strategy is an attack strategy, not defense.
- It is necessary to add monster support that can increase speed like Lira The Dark so that the Dodge ability possessed by all monsters can work more effectively.

Great battle and insight upon the Astral Entity legendary death summoner. For sure we all have our own strategy and this information is useful when building up a deck.
