Rosalinda and Tambor

Saludos.

Hello my dear friends, I hope you are all well. Here I share with you a story that touches me closely because I love rabbits. At the time of writing it I felt like little Rosalinda. Greetings.

Rosalinda was playing happily in the park with her little brother Pedrito. They climbed trees, swung on the swings, ran with their colorful ball. In short, they had a lot of fun. They loved it when their parents took them for a walk. By late afternoon it was time to go home, and although Rosalinda and Pedrito asked mom and dad for a little more time, they lovingly told them that they would surely come back another day. The children were confident that they would. Walking towards the exit of the park Rosalinda noticed something moving among the flowers, it was a cute little bunny! She tried to grab it but the little animal wouldn't let go. She walked away a little sad but thought that maybe when she was back in the park she would see it.

When they got home they all had dinner together. When they finished it was time to go to sleep because the next day the children were going to school and daddy was going to go back to work since his vacation was over. Rosalinda was anxious because she wanted to tell them about the bunny she saw in the park. So she took the opportunity when her mommy walked her to the room to tell them about it. She told her that it was cute and mischievous, that she ran after it but couldn't catch it. Then she asked, "Mommy can I have a bunny?" Her mommy smiled tenderly and after kissing her and covering her with her warm blanket told her she would talk it over with her daddy. With that in mind and a slight smile on her little lips Rosalinda closed her little eyes and went to sleep.

Several days passed and again the family went for a walk to the park. As soon as they arrived Rosalinda ran to the flowers where she had seen the bunny, but he was not there. She asked her little brother Pedrito to help her look for him. They went all over the place and couldn't find him. After a while their parents called them to have lunch and they had to suspend the search. Then they started to play and went back home. Rosalinda walked straight to her beautiful garden where she had lots of flowers, and stared at the beautiful colorful butterflies fluttering among them. She kept thinking about the cute little bunny. She dreamed of having one.

Suddenly she saw two little ears moving back and forth. She stood still and held her breath. "Could it be him?" she thought. Little by little she moved closer without making a sound. She was so nervous. With her little hand she pulled apart some leaves and looked at it. It was the bunny from the park and it had a flirtatious butterfly perched on its nose. Rosalinda thought it was very cute. She carefully took it in her arms and kissed it. Curiously, the bunny did not try to escape. He stayed snuggled in the girl's sweet arms. Rosalinda went into the house and showed them to her parents. She told them what had happened and asked their permission to keep him. Seeing her so happy, they said yes. At the same time they told her that she had to give him a name, as well as take care of him and feed him well. Rosalinda decided to name him Tambor because he was chubby and cute.

How happy the whole family was with their new and tender member. They felt they already loved him. Well, and so ends this beautiful story about the sweet affection between Rosalinda and Tambor.
