En el mundo antiguo se pueden encontrar costumbres muy raras y violentas. El morbo de las personas por el sufrimiento de otros hace que vivir en esta época fuera bastante hostil. De hecho, la lucha de gladiadores y esclavos es el deporte más aclamado por todos. Sin embargo, los participantes son personas comunes, y los nobles no se tocan ya que están por encima del resto.

La prostitución es el trabajo más demandado y las guerras el mayor temor de los reinados, menos del BORUAN, reinado ubicado en Chirlesten Antigua Europa. Los Chesmiras son mujeres y hombres que vienen del linaje de una familia que fue condenada por un hechizo para el bienestar de su pueblo. Jarrob y Darina fueron una pareja que logró sobrevivir a los saqueos que hace 120 años azotaron a BORUAN para talar sus árboles y minar su metal. De todo el pueblo solo quedaron ellos dos y una bruja que les propuso algo para poder salvarse y restaurar el mal realizado en BORUAN. A través de una maldición, podrían contar con un ejército de animales fantásticos que sacarían huyendo a todos los saqueadores. La pareja, al verse sin salida y con el sentimiento de querer recuperar sus vidas normales, accedió a ello.

Luego de recitar unas palabras y hacer un pacto con sangre y saliva, la maldición estaba hecha. De repente, aparecieron una loba y un logo gigante, un dragón hembra y uno macho adultos, y una pareja de mamuts adultos. Los seis dieron reverencia a los nuevos reyes de BORUAN, Jarro y Darina, y acabaron con todos los saqueadores. Todo culminó, pero tuvo un precio.
Los linajes entre las descendencias de Jarro y Darina no pueden salir de allí. Es decir, no se pueden ni siquiera besar con otra persona que no sea de su familia. Y cada 13 de abril, desde las 6:00 pm hasta las 11:59 pm, ni un segundo más ni un segundo menos, toda la familia real, incluyendo a los niños de 10 años en adelante, deben elegir una pareja ese día, hombre y mujer, para besarse durante todo ese rango de tiempo. De esta manera, pueden mantener a sus animales místicos que les aseguran el poder que por más de 100 años han mantenido. No importa si alguno de ellos se enamora de alguien más. Si solo uno rompe el pacto, todo se derrumbaría y BORUAN quedaría a la intemperie de los demás reinos.
