Desde muy pequeño Augusto comenzó a dar señales de no ser un niño igual a los demás, sufría una rara enfermedad dónde repentinamente y sin razón alguna se desmayaba y quedaba inconsciente por almenos media hora, sus padres lo llevaron en muchas ocasiones al médico y les realizaron estudios de todo tipo sin encontrar una razón para ello, pues el niño se encontraba perfectamente en todos los sentidos.
