Hey you! Are you good? Let’s briefly get into what the rave has been about in recent times...FEBRUARY 14th, VALENTINE’S DAY.

It seems like people have moved past complaining about how slow January was and how broke they usually are, to discussing valentine plans and the lack of it, I guess.

Single ladies are dreaming they will find a man before the day, who will be their prince charming and fulfill their fantasies; people in relationships are saving towards it in order to give their partners a lasting memory of the day.

I guess single men are glad they are single? Lol. Everyone wants love; some men more when it doesn’t involve spending too much money. What group do you fall into?

A woman, who is single, secretly wishes all her friends are single too. It gives them more things in common, The more ‘single pringles’ in the world, the better - right? So there will always be jokes to tell and married people bants to unleash.

It feels good to know that someone close to you feels the same things you feel. The ability to relate to something a friend is facing because you are in the same shoes is just bliss.

Misery loves company. Humans are this way, we are wired like this. We, at some point in our lives, need people to be miserable with us when we are. Don’t deny it. It is the plain truth. Remember your clique of friends back in school? How did you feel knowing you were the only one out of all of you that failed a course y’all read together? Or how did you feel when you all passed? Feeling left out, even during your bad times, is a crappy feeling. As much as we want people to be there when we succeed, we also don’t want to be left behind especially in our bad times.

How do you feel when after a break up with your significant other, a close friend just falls in love? You might be happy for them, but deep down, we don’t want them to be soooooo happy. We want them sharing in our tears, eating ice cream and getting fat with us. It's human nature.

So, to the single ladies, I hope all your fantasies come true, to those in relationships, I hope they last and you don’t get too broke. To single men reading this, I hope you get enough money to buy your PS5, know true happiness and then find love, if you want it (it has come to my knowledge that not all men want love).

As for me, I will bask in the euphoria of finally getting my international passport, enjoy everyday as it comes and love everyone that loves me.

Till the next time you read from me; stay safe, love hard and dream big!

Love, Amy
