And since fog has been visiting us almost daily here in Montalbán these last few days, I have a lot of photographs in my files of the area around the village, taken during those mornings when the white blanket of fog seems to silently penetrate every space, creating almost dreamlike visions of muted colors, soft contrasts, and semi-hidden shapes... And today's post is a selection of those recent photos, and it features landscapes in meadows and some small woods that surround them...

Y dado que la niebla nos visita casi a diario aquí en Montalbán estos últimos días, tengo en mis archivos un montón de fotografías de los alrededores del pueblo, hechas durante esas mañanas cuando el manto blanco de la niebla parece penetras casa espacio silenciosamente, creando visiones casi oníricas, de colores tenues, de contrastes suaves y de formas semiocultas... Y esta de hoy, es una selección de esas fotos recientes, y se trata de paisajes en praderas y en algunos pequeños bosques que las circundan...

Today I chose both vertical and horizontal photos, and I wanted to spend a lot of time processing and editing each one. I love doing that; I love being able to almost "paint" on these photographs and make them look the way I understand them. I played whimsically with light and shadow, with contrast, with tones and color temperatures, and with almost everything I found in each photo that could help me "create from what already exists." That's how I made and understand these photos, which I'm sharing with you today here on #Hive...

Hoy escogí fotos verticales y horizontales indistintamente, y quise estar procesando y editando largamente cada fotos, amo hacer eso, amo casi poder "pintar" en estas fotografías y hacerlas ver como las entiendo... Jugué caprichosamente con las luces y las sombras, con los contraste, con los tonos y las temperaturas de los colores, y con casi todo lo que hallé en cada foto que me sirviese para "crear a partir de lo existente"; así es como hice y entiendo estas fotos las cuales comparto con ustedes hoy aquí en #Hive...

They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape v3.7}
