Foça, Turkey: memories of a summer gone

That's life, everything comes and everything goes. We look forward to summer, to enjoying moments outdoors and having a good time, but suddenly one day we realize that that time has passed, we return to reality and routine, but we still have the memories. Not only about this summer but about others in the past.

And from each trip too. There are memories of those places we visited, that we liked and where we were happy. Places that inspired us and where we relaxed, without thinking about anything else.

One of those summer places is Foça, a popular coastal town in Turkey, quite close to the city of Izmir, and it is from there that most of the tourists or local visitors come, and well, I do too, from the hand of local people.

As soon as we arrived at the place, we felt good, good sensations, summer vibes and beautiful views. Because the sea inspires and gives us evocative images from any place, and being close to and contemplating nature is a privilege. We have in front of us the sea, the palm trees, the mountains in the distance of the bay, and some boats sailing quietly, with the flow of a charming summer place.

We left with the desire to be there, to see and also to feel that calm sea that surrounds us, those boats that slowly rock, as if time did not pass, although those moments went by with the gentle, almost imperceptible tide of that sea that shone with the sunlight.

In Foça, both in the old area (Eski Foça) and in another area called new (Yeni Foça) we found small beaches that offered everything to those who arrived, all the services but without the overcrowding of other places, smaller spaces, less sand and more stones, and colder water. All popular and at the same time, more natural. And incredibly joy but also tranquility, all in a desired balance.

And there is nothing left to do but relax and let ourselves go, by that gentle tide that lulls us, by that breeze that caresses us, and by that soft sun that illuminates us in the sparkling moment of the greatest possible peace. That is summer.

A magical visual instant in which everything stops, our mind too, the body rests and the eyes close with joy, the senses enjoy all those pleasant and wonderful stimuli. And those views on the coast stay there, until that summer ends, and we are really calm because we know that that experience will last forever, because it will not only remain in a photo, but in our memories, and now also in this post.
