Buenos Aires Cabildo, An Iconic Corner.
The most iconic corner of the city's historic center, or at least one of them, and, without a doubt, one of my favorites. Every time I visit Plaza de Mayo, or that whole area, I am completely fascinated by that particular corner. It expresses so many emotions. Looking at the Cabildo from every possible angle always makes me feel something different.
Today I'm not here to tell you the history of the Cabildo, but to express what it means to me to take photos in front of it. It's something deeply historical. Every time I'm in that area, I think about everything that happened there, the hundreds of years that have passed, the number of moments that were marked in that place.
I think about what the structures were like, how they were organized, what life was like in those times. And all of that, in some way, mixes with the present every time I raise my camera and frame the shot.

Whenever I'm at that particular angle, I try to take two shots. One focusing on the town hall, and the second focusing on the ground. Trying to get the same perspective, but two different focuses. At the lowest angle, there will always be leaves falling to the ground, in this case, the remnants of last spring.
I think anything you can do there will be impressive, as long as you have these stunning structures and historic buildings in the background. Which reminds me that many years ago, even more than a century ago, the town hall had two additional arches on each side. It was huge, it was an impressive corner, and the building was imposing.
The tower was much taller, and it was a building that was truly gigantic compared to what it is now, as parts of it have been cut away, and it would already be a fairly small building compared to what it originally was.

I took a shot of one of the parts of the Buenos Aires Legislature Tower. Just a small section, but it contrasts really well with the architecture of both buildings.
This tower always appears behind the Cabildo, and when photographed, it creates a very powerful visual effect. It always stands above, dominating the frame, and that creates a truly impressive atmosphere.

That's all folks! Thanks for stopping by and appreciating.
