RE: Eng/Esp Initiative: Love in times of COVID. That Life of Ours

I enjoyed this, thank you. At the start of the pandemic I thought that stories like this would be mostly what we heard about as people looked out for one another. A crisis should bring out the best in us after all and most of the time they do. Yet there was so much fear mongering in the media that we also saw the nasty side of people as they lashed out in fear. Any mistake made could get you yelled at by a stranger. Even families started cutting one another out. I avoided going out during the pandemic lockdowns less from fear of disease and more from fear of making a mistake and being attacked by others; or from fear having to deal with all the security people at shop entrances who were rarely kind and often intimidating.

It is true that this is another face of the pandemic also in some places the authorities exercised control in a disproportionate manner for fear of a large outbreak. Thank you for providing this aspect of the pandemic, which was certainly difficult.
