Hello friends, today I write about the best therapist I know, the sea.
Some time ago I read a phrase that I can't quote verbatim and I don't even know its author, but in essence it said "all evils are removed with salt water; sweat, tears, or seawater" and since then it has been part of my methods of healing and calming myself. For me there are few things that relax me more than contemplating the sea, sinking into the water or swimming a little, it makes me connect with myself in a very beautiful way and I am sure it is a feeling that I share with many of you.
The sea is simply magical and by contemplating it we can regulate ourselves and enter an almost meditative state. Its harmonious and constant sound, the intense breeze loaded with salt that ruffles your hair and caresses your skin, that unique smell and the blue color that varies in tone and merges with the sky create together a stimulus that the senses translate into peace. The perception of time changes when we contemplate it and the noise, both internal and external, to which we are accustomed is silenced by the sound of the waves, so it becomes profitable to take a short escape to the sea when we are distressed. Like itself, it breaks stones and transforms them into sand, it makes our problems and worries less great or at least gives us the calm and creativity to face them in different ways and find new solutions.
Immensity is part of its nature, as well as the calm or fury with which its waters behave, and that essence does not seem to me very far from our own nature, that is why I consider it a good mirror and teacher for one of the most complex human conditions, thinking. Many times our thoughts are as fast, furious and devastating as a storm in the sea that destroys everything in its path and we must learn to use that force to our advantage, not to sabotage our own life but to build it in a better way and from a state of calm and thus transmit to the world the immensity of our inner world, changing our environment for the better.
From time to time it is healthy to disconnect from the routine, to stop thinking so much about things, to get away from the daily conflicts, the noise, the obsessions and the worries that make us so sick. Changing one's environment is always beneficial to look at ourselves from another point of view, not to escape but to face our life from another perspective.
Most of us are constantly subjected to information overload, overloading our processing systems and this usually leads to a state of stress or anxiety to which we have become accustomed and this is not healthy at all since it affects us both physically and emotionally. Many times we try to obscure these symptoms with more information when in reality what we need is quality time with ourselves and in an environment that favors a state of tranquility and calm. That's why I decided to write today in this community, to recommend the sea to my best therapist. Thank you very much and have a nice day.
I love that phrase you read, it's very true. The sound of the sea, its beautiful colour and its constant change of shape is like a balm for the spirit. It is important to remember that we must dedicate some time to ourselves and your therapeutic proposal is the most accurate. Thank you for bringing us closer to your sea. 🤗
