Actualmente el Internet es una red que casi todo el mundo utiliza a diario, pero ¿realmente nos damos cuenta de lo que puede lograr y el mal uso que muchas veces le damos?

Gracias al Internet nos podemos contactar con nuestros familiares que viven lejos a través de una llamada o un mensaje ¿Se imaginan lo mucho que tardarían en llegarles unas cartas y cuanto tardarían en llegar las respuestas? Los distintos medios de comunicación actualmente son muy eficientes, sólo nos toma unos minutos enviar un mensaje , es algo realmente sorprenderte.

Incluso podemos conocer personas que viven en otros países, ver las noticias en sólo un clic, en lugar de esperar el periódico. Tenemos muchas puertas abiertas gracias a eso ¿Cuántas personas trabajan de manera online o ganan dinero en las diferentes redes sociales? Eso se ha vuelto muy común hoy en día.

Sin embargo, no todo es color rosa, porque no quita el mal uso que le dan algunas personas y cómo ha evolucionado a través de los años. El Internet se ha convertido en un lugar donde se cometen crímenes, ciberacoso, información falsa, robo de datos personales, entres otros. Es decepcionante ver como algo con tanto potencial para cosas positivas, puede transformarse en cosas negativas.

Tampoco hay que eliminar la adicción que produce en muchos niños, adolescentes y adultos, nada es bueno en exceso.

Para mí, el Internet es una fuente de beneficios muy grande, como poder investigar nuestras tareas, dudas, personas, historias, en un momento, algo para lo que antes era necesario leer más de 10 libros. También podemos descargar diferentes cosas como películas, series, hasta libros; debo admitir que mi parte favorita son los libros.

Cuando antes era necesario comprar discos o vinillos para escuchar música, ahora la podemos oír en plataformas como YouTube o Spotify, tan sólo debemos descargar un app y tendremos toda la música a nuestro alcance.

Después de los teléfonos o computadoras, tenemos los televisores, que seguro existían desde antes pero no a este nivel, con miles de canales a color y aplicaciones, donde podremos observar eventos, series, películas, carreras, deportes, noticias, todo en uno.

Muchos de nosotros vemos la misma serie, escuchamos la misma música o leemos los mismos libros y no es tan sólo eso, sino que a través de las redes sociales creamos grupos para hablar al respecto. Existen tantas comunidades para compartir acerca de distintos temas, con personas que viven al otro lado del mundo, pero que son fan de un cantante, por ejemplo.

Para concluir, quería traer en este post algunas de las cosas buenas que podemos hacer con el Internet, la capacidad que tiene para conectar personas es increíble y aunque sea mal utilizado por algunos, es importante resaltar lo positivo y continuar utilizándolo para bien, seguir sumando y no restando, seguir creando un mundo lleno de buenas personas que quieran una mundo mejor, un mundo lleno de cosas positivas.

Currently the Internet is a network that almost everyone uses every day, but do we really realize what it can achieve and the misuse we often give it?

Thanks to the Internet we can contact our relatives who live far away through a phone call or a message. Can you imagine how long it would take for letters to reach them and how long it would take for replies to arrive? The different means of communication nowadays are very efficient, it only takes us a few minutes to send a message, it is something really surprising.

We can even meet people who live in other countries, see the news in just one click, instead of waiting for the newspaper. We have many doors open because of that. How many people work online or earn money on different social networks? That has become very common nowadays.

However, not everything is rosy, because it does not take away the misuse that some people give it and how it has evolved over the years. The Internet has become a place where crimes are committed, cyberbullying, false information, theft of personal data, among others. It is disappointing to see how something with so much potential for positive things can turn into negative things.

Nor should we eliminate the addiction it produces in many children, adolescents and adults, nothing is good in excess.

For me, the Internet is a source of great benefits, like being able to research our homework, doubts, people, stories, in a moment, something for which before it was necessary to read more than 10 books. We can also download different things like movies, series, even books; I must admit that my favorite part is the books.

When before it was necessary to buy records or vinyls to listen to music, now we can listen to it on platforms like YouTube or Spotify, we only need to download an app and we will have all the music at our fingertips.

After phones or computers, we have televisions, which surely existed before but not at this level, with thousands of color channels and applications, where we can watch events, series, movies, races, sports, news, all in one.

Many of us watch the same series, listen to the same music or read the same books and not only that, but through social networks we create groups to talk about it. There are so many communities to share about different topics, with people who live on the other side of the world, but are fans of a singer, for example.

To conclude, I wanted to bring in this post some of the good things we can do with the Internet, the ability it has to connect people is incredible and although it is misused by some, it is important to highlight the positive and continue using it for good, continue adding and not subtracting, continue creating a world full of good people who want a better world, a world full of positive things.
