RE: Jeff Berwick vs Doug Casey On State And Church Lies, Universal Secrets, And The Best Place To Live Right Now

three questions:
"Is there a good and evil"?
"If you believe that there is no good nor evil, why aren't we pushing each other down flights of stairs"?
"In either case, "where did this "morality" come from"?

Sort:

If there is no good or evil ,the only reason for living is having fun ... If you think pushing ppl of stairs is fun ,well you do you but luckely not evryone is that twisted :p

Well, that's just the point. Why do we think that "pushing people down stairs" is "twisted"? Because we have a sense of "right" (or "compassionate", in this case), and "wrong" ("sociopathic", in this case). Where did that come from? My opinion/belief/theory is that "the universe" or "the creator" or whatever one would call it (I call it "God") gave us that sense of morality, just as we are also given free will. Jeff seems to believe in some form of ultimate creator, while Doug seems to dismiss that idea.

When you realise there is only one of us here (GOD) ,morality isn't needed anymore .... You won't push anyone off the stairs when you realise that on some level it is actually yourself you push of the stair ... it isn't a moral compass really ,it just the realisation we don't want to fall off stairs ourselves . put differently ,falling of stairs isn't FUN so we won't do it. No morality needed.
