i think the no-thought state isn't meant to be a permanent state ... The no-thought state is a medicine ,not a diet.
It is about remembering what you are ,even when you think ...
You must let the peace/joy/lovez of silence control your thoughts ... Your thoughts must become a result of the inner peace/love/joy you feel of a result of knowing what you are ...

Before meditation ,your mind controls when you can feel the love/joy/peace from the inner silence (heart) ... This causes anxiety ,suffering ,fear ...
After meditation ,gradually ,your inner love/peace/joy starts to guide what you think while you continiously feel the love/peace/joy.
