The wind rules the clouds.

Driving the clouds down to clothe the naked mountain peaks.

This is a bumper entry of 12 photos into the "Love the Clouds" contest and any photo can be used for the contest.

There is a song titled The Wayward Wind and here are some of the lyrics;
Oh, the wayward wind is a restless wind, a restless wind that yearns to wander.

And I was born the next of kin (family), the next of kin to the wayward wind.

To me the song has a special meaning, as in my life to this day I have never settled down in one place.

Moving about every few years to different areas, just the same as the wayward wind.

Now that's what these clouds mean to me with their restless flows created by a strong wind.

Finally the pink in the clouds behind the mast on the mountain means that tomorrow will be another hot day.

Some may call my song Footloose or Drifter and that's okay by me, as the clouds on the mountains are literally footloose and drifting over the mountains all day long.
There is a visible pink signal in the clouds to tell us that tomorrow the sun will once again turn the day into an oven, the same as today, but it doesn't tell us if the clouds on the mountains will still be there tomorrow.

Often the cloud banks disappear overnight and then the next day with a low strength wind over the naked mountains this is an ideal condition for the African sun to really roast us. Late afternoon during sunset the mountains turn a deep red, like oven elements to reflect the heat gathered up in the rocks during the day.
But this post is not about the mountains, as it is all about the clouds and we hope that you have enjoyed the photos.
