Las nubes que usualmente generan lluvia o nieve son los nimboestratos. Se las distingue por su color gris, su alta densidad y porque cubren al Sol de forma parcial o total, generando poca visibilidad. Generalmente la presencia de nimboestratos en el cielo de mi pueblo me hace desear estar acostada, tomando chocolate caliente, leyendo una novela de vaqueros y esperando la lluvia. Nunca he podido hacerlo porque mientras los nimboestratos están cubriendo poco a poco el cielo yo estoy aquí abajo en la Tierra haciendo algún trabajo dentro o fuera de casa.

The clouds that usually generate rain or snow are the nimbostratus. They are distinguished by their gray color, their high density and because they partially or totally cover the Sun, generating little visibility. Usually the presence of nimbostratus in the sky over my town makes me wish I was lying down, drinking hot chocolate, reading a cowboy novel, and waiting for the rain. I have never been able to do it because while the nimbostratus are slowly covering the sky I am down here on Earth doing some work inside or outside the house.
