Good night or good morning everyone, hope u all doing great.
So, this is actually my first time joining #Zingtober, and I’m honestly pretty excited about it Hmm, I didn't participate last year. This time though, something in me just said, “why not?” :) sooooo here I am, giving it a shot and seeing where it takes me.

To be honest, I usually skip events like Inktober. There’s always something , yes! not enough time, random life stuff, or just me doubting my skills when it comes to line art or pure black and white pieces mmmm yes tbh I never feel super confident with clean lines or harsh contrasts. But this year I decided to stop overthinking and just enjoy the process, even if it’s messy or imperfect.

One thing I really liked about Zingtober is that, according to the rules, you could actually use a specific color spectrum.... That instantly caught my attention ... Hmmm I did ask a question about that a few days ago, but since I didn’t get a reply, I ended up sticking with grayscale. It felt like a safe middle ground Imo still within the challenge, but in a way that feels natural to me.

I made this piece in Photoshop, inspired by my female Forest Healer and I also Shinaara, the creature (deer 🦌) featured on day 5. I think that, as always, I have made some small changes, but I tried to follow the concept and the reference.

While working on it, I also recorded a short video, and I’m sharing a few screenshots from that here. It's a bit like behind the scenes of the drawing, each process is different and undergoes certain changes as it progresses, and I know that lately I don't talk about the process itself as I used to, but with these images you can see a glimpse of the process. I won't upload the video here, possibly to X.

Oh, and btw, according to the event rules, we have 72 hours to post after the day, so I’m technically still on time , yeap 😅. That little grace period really helps, especially when you’re juggling other stuff lol ....

I already know I won’t be able to finish all 30 prompts — certain conditions apply, haha hmmmmm but my personal goal is to complete at least 10, That would make me happy!

Returning to the question , yeah… that was my original question a few days ago
can I do it monochromatic? 😅
Since I never got an answer mm I just trusted my gut and went for it ahahhaah I want to be clear about this and not mess up... In the end, I settled on greyscale, but I may go for monochrome next time... But welll I’m super happy to finally be part of Zingtober--..

Thank you very much for taking the time to view my work.
Oh, and one more thing before I wrap up...

A while ago I was looking for this little shark you see down here 🦈. It’s really special to me. I won it a long time ago here, n it was done by a person many years ago but also I consider a GREAT GREAT GREAT FRIEND now n who does amazing work , very talented🤗.
I thought I had lost it , I was very sad… but noooo! I got it back! Yes ! He found n sent it to me again, and I’m so happy to have it with me once more.
So from now on, this shark will be keeping me company 💙
Now yes! See you next time.
