Creation of the Fanart

Greetings to everyone, we came back to the @holozing #fanarts this time about the light healer of the game with his electric bunny and one of the #accesories this time the #backpack. I really liked the ligth healers and i needed to do the male character too. of course in my style holding his rabbit in one hand and modeling the backpack.

For the moment, this and the rest of the digital drawings I am doing them from my phone in the Ibis Paint App and with my fingers.

the sketch

As you can see in my latests posts ive been trying to make better poses with practise even thougth im doing it on my phone.It takes a little more time but it gives just so much personality to the character. I wanted to make him have akind of reserved personality but also fun with the bunny just playing in his arm.

Lineart

When I had the sketch clear I made a cleaner #lineart to make the clothes and all the elements more understandable. Then I tried to use one color to paint better, it made more easier to select the individual clothes and paint one by one. I chose gray because it make the colors looks to the actual tone they are, usually with white it's more difficult to choose colors. I don't usually leave it in the drawings because I like more the paint effect but in this one I blurred it when I was painting to made it that way.

Flat colors

Starting to #paint, I use some base colors and I did it all in one layer, I chose the usual colors the character wore in his clothes but I ended up choosing a little different tonalities when I was rendering in the next step. Specially with the rabbit. In this one, I decided to make it look a little bit more flat and not semi-transparent as it was in the drawing of the #lighthealer female. the rabbit was a little more dark because I was planning to make a little gradient with the light later. With the gray base was easier.

shadows and lights

Using reference images, I give depth to the facial features, clothes, hair and the rabbit. Specially in the depths of the clothes and the face. Usually I time with the face because it's one of the things that gives more personality to the character. With a soft brush I also did some hard lights to blur them later. But it was mostly to define more the figure.when I was blending I had to add more colors to make it more rich visually, but the focus was the face and a the shirt. I used the Lustfull-Stray brush and lashes brush. Blending with the thick oil brush and water brush.

Then I was blending and shading a little more, this time also blurring the lineart a little so I can conserve the structure but just in some parts, I detailed the features a little more with painting and texture. After that I was playing a little with the layer effects to make some depth because I wanted to also do a background that was kinda Mystical for him, to symbolize him as a magical candle or light in the universe. That's why I decided to to the background in the space using a predetermined material on #ibispaint and then incorporating it with blending and some texture brushes.
Even though it wasn't to uniform for me when I finished and that's why I decided to use another layer to blend everything with one orange color, using it as a filter with the multiply option. It was very fun to do. with the bunny was the same process, except for the part where I used the add option to detail some of his hairs his cheeks and forehead.

I just like to draw the #holozing characters, specially the light healers their colors match my style a lot, even though sometimes I would consider to made them a little bit more darker. I'm curious for this game and the new events they will make here in October. I excited to see all the new fanarts and materials that are coming, the new accessories and new people in the community. I tried to make the hair look a little alike with the first fanarts I did about the female #lighthealer but not so #semi-transparent.
