The weekend is just around the corner. This week I would like to share with you my fanart version of Holozing's character "Water Type (Dragon)".
I have drawn and created a male Water Type Dragon humanoid. Hope you like my portrait of this one. Here are the steps of the creation of my fanart.
Hallöchen liebe Hive Gemeinde und Holozing Fans,
Einen schönen Donnerstag wünsche ich euch allen.
Das Wochenende steht gleich wieder vor der Tür. Diese Woche möchte ich mit euch meine Fanart Variante des Holozing's Charakters "Water Type (Dragon)" teilen.
Ich habe einen männlichen Water Type Dragon-Humanoid gezeichnet und kreiert. Hoffentlich gefällt euch mein Portrait von diesem. Hier nun die einzelnen Schritte der Entstehung meiner Fanart.
This time I recorded more individual steps. As always, I started with the eyes, the portal to the soul.
Dieses mal habe ich mehr einzelne Schritte festgehalten. Angefangen habe ich wie immer mit den Augen, dem Portal zur Seele.
As the theme includes dragons, I decided to go for striking facial features.
Da das Thema Drachen beinhaltet entschloss ich mich für markante Gesichtszüge.
The wild hair should also represent the horns. Similar to a sea urchin, I thought to myself.
Die wilden Haare sollten zugleich die Hörner repräsentieren. Ähnlich wie bei einem Seeigel, dachte ich mir.
I drew gray auxiliary lines for the shading and started making the background.
Ich zeichnete noch graue Hilfslinien für die Schattierungen und fing an den Background zu machen.
Now color everything in waterlike colors.
So, nun alles in Wasserfarbtönen ausmalen.
Or to put it simply, everything in shades of blue. Instead of the golden eyes, I decided to use the jewelry as the gold factor.
Oder vereinfacht gesagt, alles in Blautönen. Statt den goldenen Augen beschloß ich den Schmuck als Goldfaktor zu nutzen.
Now the last steps...
Jetzt nur noch die letzten Schritte...

Here is my finished version of the water-type dragon. He is a mixture of pirate and hippie. My orientation was a bit "Pirates of the Caribbean" with Johnny Depp as a hippie pirate. I thought that was a good fit for a water dragon-humanoid.

Hier meine fertige Variante des Wasser-Typ Drachen. Er ist eine Mischung aus Pirat und Hippie. Meine Orientierung galt ein bisschen "Fluch der Karibik" mit Johnny Depp als Hippie Pirat. Ich fand das passt gut zu einem Wasser Dragon-Humanoid.
