Today I want to show through a tutorial, how to make a beautiful cup holder, crocheted, inspired by Larvie from holozing.
This project is very cute and is very useful, because we can use it to avoid getting wet or dirty tablecloths or table and at the same time serves as an ornament. So I hope you like it very much.

Materials to make the beautiful cup holder in the shape of a worm, inspired by Larvie:

  • Knitting yarn , colors : light green and dark green.
  • Needle, number 3.
  • Liquid silicone.
  • Movable eyes.
  • White beads.
  • Magic clasp.
  • Scissors.

Steps for the realization of the worm-shaped cup holder:

  • The first thing we do is take the yarn and needle, make a magic ring, inside the ring make 10 high stitches. Close with slipped stitch.
  • For the second round pick up two chains and in each stitch make an increase for a total of 20 stitches.
  • For the third row, make one increase and one stitch, but all in double crochet.
  • To make the legs of the worm, we pick up 6 chains, take a loop, leave two chains from the bottom to the top. Then I knit a single crochet. I pick up the loop again and in the same place I knit a double crochet.
  • And in the remaining two chains I knit a medium high stitch.
  • Now we have the first part of the worm ready.
  • So we are going to make four more parts. In the same way, but with different colors. You can be guided by the picture.

  • To make the head of the worm, we make a ring and inside the ring 10 high stitches, we close with slip stitches. We make an increase in each stitch and it is ready.
  • With the dark pink yarn, we make another motif like the first motif, but instead of placing legs, we knit the antennae, we make 6 chains, we take a loop, in the third stitch we make a double crochet, another double crochet, then we reach the 6th stitch with slip stitch. Knit in the next stitches 4 low stitches and then do the same as the first antenna. Now we have the head ready.
  • Now we have to glue the eyes with liquid silicone, the beads and the pieces of magic clasp, this with the function of taking off the cup holders when they are going to be used. I hope you like it.
