Today, I want to share my latest fan art.
I decided to create Woolio as a human. You could see the reference image right 👉here

I give him a shield and armor because he is a tank type guy. I absolutely have fun on creating this piece. It's awesome and cool to see the design. Hope you like it😁

Let's dive in to the process🎨

Art Process

First, I focus on creating the character and do a rough sketch for the pose. When doing the pose I keep it lose within the strokes and adjust accordingly to what fit most. He is holding his shield while blocking those fire or magical attacks. I absolutely love the pose here and I continue to the next step.

The second image is where I do the clean line art. Like a tracing paper I add another layer on top of the rough sketch while decreasing the opacity of it. That way I could do better line quality on top of it.

In here, I started to added the base colors of each parts of the character. Starting with armor and shield.

Then added the base colors of facial features, Woolio Shield logo and the base land he is standing on.

I started to add some texture and shadow to the land base.

Then I created the background with some random shape like a charge state of dragon ball hahaha.

Followed by adding a secondary color to make it gradient.

Lastly, added some random white lines for the design.

✨✨✨

In here I change the color of the eyes to brown. Added some shadows to the character to give it a 3 dimensional look.

To pop up the character I added some light shines to his armor and shield. Also added a pupil and some lights to his eyes and nose.

Final Artwork

Final step to my process is adding color the line art. It adds a bit of style to it. I also add some shine light to his shield and the magical attacks.😁
