Today, I’m excited to share my very first fanart for the Holozing community here on Hive. I’ve created a character named Glimmo, a figure that embodies vibrant energy and joy. This piece holds a special place in my heart because it marks the beginning of my journey into fanart for this creative and inspiring space.
About Glimmo
Meet Glimmo, our first turtoise creature in our roster. Glimmo will focus on having a solid defense while also being quick on its feet with higher a critical chance! It'll also use its surroundings to generate attacks that'll make it harder for enemies to hit it by throwing sand at its opponent.
I want to say Glimmo is a playful, energetic character whose design draws inspiration from the bright and dynamic world of Holozing. As I worked on this piece, I imagined Glimmo as a character full of curiosity, spreading light and cheer wherever they go. Their colorful aura reflects a personality that stands out, and I wanted to make sure that the artwork captured this essence in every detail.
The Creative Process:
I created this artwork using colorful pens, which allowed me to experiment with bold hues and intricate patterns. Each stroke was carefully thought out to highlight Glimmo’s lively nature and the imaginative universe they inhabit. The challenge of working with pens, especially to achieve smooth gradients and texture, added a unique layer of creativity to the process.
To begin, I sketched the character roughly to determine the composition and pose. Once I was satisfied with the design, I started adding colors, focusing on blending shades and layering details to bring depth to the piece. Using vibrant pens allowed me to build Glimmo’s personality through a mix of contrasting tones and harmonious combinations.
