Holo healers!
A lot has been going on in the zingverse the past month. Amazing activity and contributions in our Zingtober event that officially concluded recently. We'll be taking some time to look through all the entries properly and placing some of the best contributions in terms of innovation, artwork, style and consistency for our winning list. Along with giving all valid entries that fit our criteria achievement points for the 2024 Zingtober Achievement which the winning artist will have the pleasure of creating themselves!
Take some well-deserved rest for now, artists and thank you again for filling our community with amazing contributions during this event!
We also launched our Alpha Vials for sale last month, our official 2nd method of funding the project which started with a real bang!
Over 800 vials sold in under 2 weeks! To put that into perspective, that's almost 50% of our total marketcap in value before vials went live for sale, although the Vial announcement made for some new value flowing into our ecosystem and placing the zing value to $100k for a while as well!
That's great to see and has helped the project catch up on some backpay for the team and other expenses and we are ever so excited for our game to release in alpha and for everyone to get some sneak peeks into it while we focus on balancing and fine-tuning the looks of it while smashing bugs!
Talking about bugs, it's time to reveal some new creatures that'll enter our roster!
Do mind that these 2d versions of revealed creatures aren't polished yet as we've had to shift funding focus for the time being towards game dev. If you see some inconsistencies in quality/artwork it might be due to that.
Meet Cinella, a ladybug that'll be quick and agile while focusing on slowing down its opponents and decreasing their hit chance as if it wasn't hard enough to hit such a small bug to begin with!
Its evolved form, Cinelara will allow it to fly and learn flying abilities along with becoming more agile and hitting a bit harder with normal-type moves and further bug-type moves that'll keep opponents slowed.
Now we'll be moving into a new type of creature we haven't seen too much of yet in Holozing aside from the one dragon-type, ground-type!
Meet Glimmo, our first turtoise creature in our roster. Glimmo will focus on having a solid defense while also being quick on its feet with higher a critical chance! It'll also use its surroundings to generate attacks that'll make it harder for enemies to hit it by throwing sand at its opponent.
Its evolved form Gemino is an absolute unit focusing on defense and making enemy opponents attacks recoil by attempting to turn its back towards incoming attacks to only hit its tough crystals and deflect damage. While its attacks may not be as hard-hitting, its recoil will be one of the first moves that can make enemy creatures bleed some extra damage over many turns.
As some of our healers may know, our creatures will also come in the form of Holomax and Radiant versions of themselves, we're excited to announce them to our previous reveals. For the creatures above we have some awesome plans to make the radiant version of Cinella and Cinelara in gold-form, while Glimmo and Gemino will get a darker skin and of course holomax means the crystals will come in our vibrant holo-colors to really stand out for the healers who manage to capture the high rarity versions or level them up towards it!
Achievements
We also released two new achievements last month and along with the Zingtober achievement we have another one in the making to release for our players soon.
A lot going on in the Holozing world, while our team is still small we'll be trying to update our future healers on more things Zing in the near future. It is quite remarkable how far the game has progressed up to this point. My excitement for the game is building, and I am waiting for the event when the alpha pack can be opened. It will bring another storm in the price of ZING whenever it becomes available. Thanks for the update.

Though Gemino looks tough, I prefer characters with agility and high-damage attacks, like Cinelara. I’m also amazed by the transformation from a cute little bug into a full-bodied creature—it’s so well thought out!

The #Zingtober event was fantastic; it really pushed me to hone my drawing skills. Such great motivation!

The new creatures look really nice. It's a bit funny and I don't know why but when I saw the outlines, Gemino looked like a fat sandslash. I haven't been keeping track, but will all elements have the same number of monsters? Also, congrats to the artists who joined the zingtober event.
No real restrictions placed on amount of creatures per type, we believe generally there will be more normal type creatures.
Gotcha. I guess it's still too early to anticipate the meta. But if there will be more normal, their weakness would be a good type to focus on.
The new creatures are fantastic! Cinella might be my new favorite - a speedy little ladybug that can slow down opponents? That's some clever design. Really impressed with how quickly those vials sold too, shows the project has some serious momentum. Looking forward to testing out Gemino's recoil mechanics in the alpha, seems like it'll add a whole new layer to battle strategy. Keep up the great work team.
New creatures are looking nice and it also reminds me that I have not purchased the energy vial yet. I will be trying to buy it soon and hopefully this week most probably..
😍 Cinella / Cinelara are a gorgeous pair, love the evolved form looks like a mix of a ladybug and a sort of wasp, a surprising stylish look. Hope to get them in-game. The tortoise is cool too.

Nice bit of chunk of change the support on hive for this kind of stuff is pretty strong via a community perspective honestly. Not so much a DHF perspective lol but overall community voting which is honestly what I hope we would change to. Excited to see this thing live in 2025!

Holozing has come to stay and it's really impressive how far this game has come. I saw a couple of painting on different characters by many Hivers. What an amazing event it is.

The new creatures look cute and remind me so much of Pokemon. This game has a lot of potential and I have high expectations of this not just as a P2E game but a really fun game people would enjoy to play.

As a suggestion maybe it worths to make the Community Choice Award for most active Zingtober participants.

Maybe in the future, but the fee to swap from layer 2 to 1 is usually under 1%.

Cinella and Cenelara look very cute. The Glimmo and Gemino appear to have their original nature, being slow and chunky. I would buy a Vial but I am not good at playing games what I can use it for?
For now you simply earn some zing for holding vials, later on you'll be able to open them and earn some zing for items and creatures, after that we plan on allowing creatures and items not only to be traded but also leased through delegations.

So how many Alpha creatures total? Are the ones revealed here also Alpha?
There's quite a collection so far, I guess they're all "alpha", but only the 4 starters in the Alpha vials won't be capturable.
We have plans on updating the inventory page to highlight creatures as they're revealed so people can scroll through them easier soon!
I really like completing collections as part of a game. That's one of the things I enjoy in games.
It would be really cool to showcase all the creatures in the website, with a highlight on the ones you own 😀. That should get a few more people pumped about getting the ones they're missing! (and spending too!)
Yeah, that's definitely the plan, for when beta launches we also wanna completely hide the creatures on the inventory list until you encounter one, if uncaptured, it'll show the image of it, name and serial number but remain gray. When captured, it'll show it in its colors, the highest rarity you own and how many you have.
Here's a preview of how the inventory list will look like:
So you can imagine them all listed down like this, however if you've never encountered one it'll not show the image and type border around the creature and type symbol at the far right, the orange border represents the rarity you own and the #8 is just the serial number of the creature, the last of the alpha starters.
Looking forward to seeing this in action. You're making me want to buy more Alpha Vials than I was planning to 😅
I think we're all going to have too few vials if things fall well into place in 2025
So collectors will for instance want them all in Holo rarity, along with potentially having them all in alpha cards of a certain rarity, etc.
