In this post we'll go through our updates in our Litepaper, this includes:
- alpha gameplay
- $zing distribution
- Roadmap V1
We will mark "--" what we removed from the Litepaper and "++" what we added instead.
Alpha (++ & Beta) Gameplay
-- You start off with purchasing a healer NFT, representing your character. Then you need to get yourself a starter pack that’ll give you the necessary items and your first creature for playing.
++ During Open Alpha you will be able to test the game with default healer and creature characters and all assets, progression and history obtained will be reset upon Open Beta release.
++ In Open Beta you will be able to capture NFT creatures, obtain NFT items and NFT soulbound achievements with your progression not being reset further. You will also require to purchase a healer and a starter pack to be able to play the game which at this time will mostly consist of PvE wild creature encounters, PvE AI battles and PvP battles.
$Zing Distribution
-- Full distribution plans for $ZING will be announced soon.What we can say is that to start, we will reward HP delegation and POSH holders with staked $ZING. Those pending rewards will be claimable once every hour. The amount going to POSH holders will be limited based on how much POSH assisted on kickstarting the funding of this project.

Ending note:
Surprisingly not many big delays compared to our vision in early October when we finalized the Litepaper. Starter sale is slightly delayed due to artist delays which has kept us back a little with some other developments and capital. Healer sale was always meant to come after the starter sale and we hope to finalize it in Q1 as we aim to mint and bring the web3 community together from many different chains onto our website and the Hive ecosystem. Closed Alpha delays due to additions of unique and difficult game mechanics and rarity formulas in capture logic.

It's nice to know that the game progress has been running without major delays and seeing by the quality of work that the artist pour to make those wonderful characters and creatures, I can see why there are delays on that part but I do not really mind plus its holidays so let them enjoy the season.

I'm really excited for the first genesis pack sale in January (hopefully). Will we get the information about packs (Like what's inside, the odds and the price) before the actual pack sale goes live ?
Yes it will be made public before the sale starts, also things like how we verify rng and make sure no funny business can occur from within the project for starter pack rarities/value.
Delays can be expected for games, especially if there are tweaks still being added. Seeing that they are still slated for January 2024 is really reassuring. I am very excited to see the Alpha and get a feel for the game.
I have a question tho considering buying packs: Let's say we'll buy it through HBD, does paying a certain amount of $ZING in addition offers some kind of discount for example ?
We have no plans for that, we initially thought about giving discounts based on zing holdings but decided against it to make it fair for everyone, there is something we will announce in a couple days which active claimers will be happy about, though!

It is good to know about the progress of the Holozing game. It's another exciting time on hive to get engaged on this NFT game. Cheers to us for this new way to start 2024.
It's nice to know how far things are going so far. Left for me I'd say we are moving really fast compared to so many projects that I know of and it's normal to have few setbacks but I'm glad we can still work even amidst those delays.

Packs will be paid with hbd or zing or both?
we're not accepting zing this early on but maybe in the future, hbd, hive and the plan is to also accept other coins through metamask and what have you.

This game is really going to be amazing and attractive to play.
do you have an estimate how much the starter pack and character sales?
Estimates right now are somewhere between $10-20 per pack and $40-50 per healer. It's a bit expensive but meant to give a lot of value in the packs, which can also be stored and resold later. The cost also deters multi-account/bot usage but doesn't mean that to start you have to buy but will be able to also rent creatures and healers from owners to ease into the game.

The Litepaper is pretty much impressive and a visionary one. The project is a fantastic one and thanks for coming up with it and the really innovative ways by which you plan to push it through to success.
Good one, I can't wait for the game to be fully be up and running.
Question: Are we going to want to buy multiple packs &/or Healers for the Open Alpha? Will there be combining and leveling up of things? Or will it be more of a feeling out the game process and the advantages to owning more won't occur until the Beta? Just want to get an idea of when I'll need the powder kegs ready. :-)
Minimum requirement is 1 pack and 1 healer to play, but there'll be other items people may want or to get packs, healers, items to hold for collection rewards/delegation rewards. We haven't decided yet when collection rewards will start but most likely before beta though!
This will be my first gaming adventure on Hive and on blockchain. I just got my Holozing badge by delegating HP to Zingtoken account. I'm ready for this fun and all it brings.

It is good to know that the roadmap is being fulfilled with minor delays, and based on the initial overview. I predict a great launch in the first quarter of 2024. No one will be dissatisfied. Hopefully, other chains will come on board with the same enthusiasm that I see in Hive.
