Acrylic, colored pencils and felt-tip pens on canvas 2024.
In this piece I combined Zinguini with one of my favorite anime characters- Tokuchi Toua from anime One Outs. Tokuchi is a brilliant gambler who often smokes a cigarette and wears 77 number on his baseball uniform. So I turned Zinguini into gambler and gave him cigarette and number 77.
I started by drawing the eyes, head, beak, beard, hands(wings?), body and legs. After that I added cards with a royal flush hand, dices and cigarette.
After that I added money rain( his winnings)and made Zinguini lose weight. I also added the gold chain.
Then I started coloring this piece with colored pencils.
I added ice armor.
I finished coloring this creature but still had to add the background.
I did the background with acrylic paints.
The idea behind this art piece was that Hive always wins. That is why Zinguini is holding best poker hand(royal flush) and all dices have rolled Hive.

I was wondering why it looks fierce and has a cigarette, so I checked the link for Tokuchi Toua. Now I know why it looks fierce. Hahaha!
