Drawing Emberion the Igneous Fury. Holozing Fanart. [ENG+ESP]

Saludos, comunidad. Una fábula, un dibujo, así lo he venido haciendo y así lo haré. El día de hoy os contaré sobre Emberion, un dragón de tipo fuego perteneciente al juego Holozing, el cual siempre fue subestimado en batalla por su apariencia y peculiar tamaño. Pero este pequeño dragón escondía un secreto. Emberion era especial, ya que había nacido con una escama en su frente que contenía esencia de fénix, un ser ancestral que ya pocos recordaban.

Esta escama le permitía amplificar sus poderes en combate, haciéndolo extremadamente poderoso. Los que sobrevivieron a su encuentro contaban que de Emberion emanaba un aura de calor que derretía rocas y de su espalda brotaban a cada rato haces de llamas brillantes que se asemejaban a las de un ave de fuego. Era tan mortal en combate que, con el pasar de los tiempos, llegó a ser conocido como Emberion, la Furia Ígnea.

Step by step // Paso a paso

I started by drawing the silhouette of Emberion, following the original design, but making some small general changes to the hands, feet and shape of the head.

Next, I added the details of the face, the wings and the dividing section of the abdominal area. From here, I had to change the orientation of the camera and take the photos horizontally, so please excuse me if it causes any inconvenience.

Comencé dibujando la silueta de Emberion, guiándome por el diseño original, pero haciendo algunos pequeños cambios generales en cuanto a las manos, pies y forma de la cabeza.

A continuación, agregué los detalles del rostro, las alas y la sección divisoria de la zona abdominal. A partir de aquí, tuve que cambiar la orientación de la cámara y tomar las fotos en horizontal, así que ruego, me disculpen si causa algún inconveniente.

The last pencil strokes were dedicated to the flames on his back, which, as I said before, I had intended to draw as wings of fire, but due to the shortage of space, I had to make them facing upwards. At the bottom I added earth to experiment a bit, including surfaces and ecosystems in my fan art.

When I was satisfied with the sketch, I started inking, giving a chance to a new black ink pen, which, unfortunately, disappointed me, so I'm still looking for a better one. After inking, I erased the whole pencil stroke.

Los últimos trazos con el lápiz estuvieron dedicados a las llamas en su espalda, las cuales, como conté anteriormente, tenía la intención de dibujar como alas de fuego, pero debido a la escasez de espacio, tuve que hacerlas orientadas hacia arriba. En la parte inferior agregué tierra para experimentar un poco, incluyendo superficies y ecosistemas en mi fan art.

Cuando ya estaba satisfecho con el boceto, empecé a entintar, dándole una oportunidad a un nuevo bolígrafo de tinta negra, el cual, lastimosamente, me decepcionó, así que sigo en busca de uno mejor. Luego del entintado, borré todo el trazo del lápiz.

I started to give color and I did it on the ground, since it is one of the firsts of this drawing. I applied a dark brown to the shaded areas and light brown to the light areas. I also included some pieces of the ground in a light ochre color to refer to the minerals that usually appear on volcanic terrains.

Then I used a mixture of mahogany and red with different tones and intensity to draw the horns, the spines and the bone structure of the wings. In the case of the eyes and claws, I painted them black.

Empecé a dar color y lo hice por el terreno, ya que es una de las primicias de este dibujo. Apliqué un café oscuro a las zonas con sombra y café claro en las áreas de claridad. También incluí algunos pedazos del suelo de color ocre claro para hacer referencia a los minerales que suelen aparecer sobre los terrenos volcánicos.

A continuación utilicé una mezcla de color caoba y rojo con diferentes tonos e intensidad para dibujar los cuernos, las espinas dorsales y la estructura ósea de las alas. En el caso de los ojos y las garras, los pinté de negro.

On Emberion's body suffered from my bright red color, which is already too short from so much use 😅. I thought about using a variation of basic red with bright orange, but then I remembered I had to do something similar with the rest of the body and the flames.

On the rest of the body, I used a mixture of red variants for the wing membrane and head scales, including the special scale on his forehead. The abdominal area I drew with a mixture of yellow and brown called tan and accentuated the dividing lines of the scales here.

En el cuerpo de Emberion sufrió mi color rojo brillante, el cual está muy corto ya de tanto que lo uso 😅. Pensé en utilizar una variación de rojo básico con naranja brillante, pero luego recordé que tenía que hacer algo parecido con el resto del cuerpo y las llamas.

En el resto del cuerpo, utilicé una mezcla de variantes de rojo para la membrana de las alas y las escamas de la cabeza, incluyendo la escama especial de su frente. La zona abdominal la dibujé con una mezcla de amarillo y café llamada bronceado y acentué las líneas divisorias de las escamas en este lugar.

To finish, I colored the flames by painting the entire area in golden yellow and toasting the edges with bright orange for a more striking look. Using the same bright orange, I enhanced the gradient of the eyes.

Para finalizar, di color a las llamas pintando toda el área de amarillo dorado y brindando los bordes con naranja brillante para dar un aspecto más llamativo. Utilizando la misma naranja brillante, mejoré el degradado de los ojos.

This way this Emberion fan art is finished. I hope you liked this reinterpretation of this peculiar dragon. I must say that I'm quite satisfied with the result, but I wasn't careful when taking the picture and many of them came out with reflections that don't show how they really look like. De esta forma quedaría terminado este fan art de Emberion. Espero que les haya gustado esta reinterpretación de este peculiar dragoncito. Debo decir que estoy bastante satisfecho con el resultado, más no tuve cuidado a la hora de tomar la foto y muchas salieron con reflejos que no muestran cómo se ven en realidad.
