Hello Holotrainers!
The year is almost over, and I must say I've had a lot of fun creating these fan lore posts I'm preparing for the Holozing community, based on some premises I saw in their whitepaper. It's been a long effort, involving many nights of tweaking everything, making it as original and interesting as possible with the limited information available.
I've had a lot of fun, but I think this will be the last post on this topic for now. In a few days, I'm going on vacation and I want to disconnect from Hive for a bit, at least for a few days, before coming back refreshed and ready for the end of the year and, of course, 2026. I've already written a post about 2026 with some of the goals I think Holozing should have and what I hope for it.

For now, let's continue with the story! This time we're going to talk about the future.
I've been considering two timelines for this Holozing fan lore: one in the past where humans meet the creatures and learn to live with them, and another in the distant future where the creatures have disappeared, and the point is to see what happened to them.
Fiona, the protagonist
I've given a lot of thought to who I want the viewer to be through whom the story is told. In the end, I've settled on another protagonist, a young technician in the Holozing network who is very interested in the creatures of this simulation but who almost accidentally discovers a dark secret behind it. all

We've already discussed how humans caused these creatures to disappear from this future world, or at least not in the traditional way. Instead, all their genetic information is stored in HoloWorld, a kind of otherworldly simulation that not only copies the creature but also its behavior and memories.
Therefore, Fiona must search this world to recover the pieces and uncover the secret behind the disappearance of the Creatures

It's simple, I know, but there's no easy resolution behind it all. I want Fiona's motivations to be driven not only by investigating this phenomenon, but also by the way she uncovers clues and connects the dots, starting with the company she works for.
Again, this isn't your typical evil company. There's a genuine effort to keep these creatures alive, but with some mistakes along the way—some quite wicked, that's for sure. The truth is, everything is more complicated than we think, and there isn't that dynamic of... Good and Evil

Something that sets her apart from the protagonists of the past era is that she's alone in a much more technologically advanced world, but that doesn't mean it's peaceful. There are many interests behind it all, and that's what I think will be interesting as the story progresses.
