This has been a post I've been meaning to make since Zing claimdrop started but been a bit behind on a lot of posts. For now you can still earn staked Zing by holding POSH tokens and the POSH tokens can be earned! Unfortunately not through Twitter anymore since they went crazy on their API costs (asking $42k/month for our needs), but it's still available for Reddit!
Okay so let's dive into a quick:
How to get started
- Go to https://hiveposh.com/
- login with hive keychain
- login with Reddit authentication
- Share Hive posts on Reddit
That's about it, once you're registered on the website it'll show your linked Reddit and Twitter accounts like this:
Another cool thing about this is that on @peakd it'll show your linked accounts in your profile, so people can easily go to your Twitter or Reddit page if they want to follow you there!
Okay, so once that's done:
How can you earn POSH which will get you Zing?
It's quite easy, you just take a post link from most popular front-ends (hive.blog, @peakd, @ecency, @inleo, etc) and post it onto a subreddit.
The hard part is finding subreddits that allow linkdrops from platforms that aren't already giant companies, so do your due diligence by reading the subreddit rules and some times trial and error.
The only rules we have is to not share in subreddits that are hive-specific, i.e. hivers have created them (like r/hivenetwork) which the bot won't pick up and it won't allow you to earn POSH there.
Right now though we are allowing posts shares to earn in the r/holozing subreddit so people can try it out and get used to the bot!
So what does it look like when you successfully share a post?
Here's an example, I shared @dalz's post about Solana statistics in the r/solana subreddit yesterday:
You can tell that it picks up any links, whether the sharer is registered with hiveposh or not, as you can see the first link goes to my share while the second one goes to someone who responded to my share and shared his own version with the post link inside a longer post:
How do the rewards work?
It's quite simple, every day the @redditposh bot (created and maintained by @hivetrending) takes all the eligible shares and puts them together in a post where they share the daily 25 POSH between how well they did on Reddit. The POSH amount can be adjusted, it's low right now cause there's a low amount of people sharing. Then after 7 days of that post, you receive your POSH in your hive-engine wallet as long as you didn't get banned from POSH for doing something fishy.
If we see activity grow we may even start curating the comments of @redditposh (which 100% go to the registered sharers) so you could earn both POSH and Hive and Zing!
Now with the earned POSH you can naturally either sell it for Hive or hold it to earn some Zing, or do whatever you like as you've earned them!
The goal for POSH is to help drive traffic to our front-ends and the Hive ecosystem as we believe more social users should know about us and try us out!

A great opportunity. I earn more ZING with POSH than with HP delegation.
Would be good to see a post describing what Hive / Reddit posts are eligible for the POSH program. For example, sharing Hive posts older than 1 day won't be rewarded as I know.
Another thing: last time, I shared a link within a set of images, this way:
this is my post on Reddit I am talking about: reddit.com/r/orchids/comments/18lpzmm/orchids_at_plant_fair_in_bangkok/
But I placed the Hive link below the last image of the set and probably this was why I never got a Redditposh comment and reward.
So, I guess, this form of sharing on Reddit isn't eligible.
I am thinking to share a link within a set of images on other subreddit but, this time, I'll place the Hive link below the first image. I hope it will work. But would be good to know in advance.
It should be, eligibility is mostly those shared in subreddits outside of our ecosystem. That said the bot isn't 100% on catching all shares and some times when they get deleted from the user or reddit mods it may act up a bit. We're still trying to improve it and your reports help when something doesn't work the way it's meant to!
I have another guess that slowness of Peakd might sometimes be an obstacle for the Redditposh bot. At least, in my case.
I will share Ecency URLs instead just in case (already shared one successfully).
I don't believe the front-ends matter much as we use the chain directly, but if you mean how quick the comments show up on the front-ends then it may depend on them yeah.
I have a strong suspicion that POSH won't just give advantage to ZING? Other projects coming in 2024?
Yes we have another project in mind for POSH air/claimdrop, we're just waiting on zing to be "on its own" hopefully after the starter sale gets going!
Great that now it's available to proof posh with Reddit. By the way me still worries question why not to allow people to use for posh not only Reddit but maybe also some local social media platforms which can be popular among local residents? And of course even maybe to use fb for it...
We are however on the lookout, @hivetrending has been eyeing mastodon and insta threads.
It all depends if their API's allow us to work on their platforms, with FB it's not certain and when I brought it up the devs were a bit flaky about it. There's also the uncertainty of API's in the future as we saw with Twitter, reddit could suddently decide to make it cost more and cut us off or make it impossible to pay even if we wanted to pay a reasonable amount.
Ok thank you for clarification. Of course if some platform decide to take payments we can't to make something against it. About API I'll keep it in my mind if something will appear on the horizon.
I wonder if platforms such as CounterSocial, Bluesky, Threads, supernova Social may be an option for you? I don't know if they have API's or if they do, how they would work together. I'm learning my way around still. Had a Hive account for a while, just started using it seriously a few weeks back.
Other than that we're also looking at more semi-auto ways to give posh out to people, something combined with zealy or other more manual ways with curators and organizers.
Its 22 days ago since I last shared a Holozing link on Reddit. Checking now the status of the last link I shared and thinking of writing a post later.

I can't seem to be able to link my Reddit account to Hiveposh. Also, it's been a while since I received posh rewards from posting on twitter. Is anyone else having these issues?
the rewards from twitter don't work anymore since they raised the API costs making our bot unusable there, it's only reddit right now. There's some manual posh curation going on tho in the daily @ocd posts' comment section.
What issues are you having connecting reddit with the website?

That's an excellent choice. I didn't know that. To get Posh, I bought some and then I found out that by delegating HP to @poshtoken, I get daily. All this without the goal of acquiring Zing, even if it is little. This option you offer us is very good. Maybe the most profitable to acquire Posh. Thank you.

I share my holozing posts in reddit and also get the reddit posh message on my posts. But whenever I long in to hiveposh I get this msg and so posh rewards. AM I doing anything wrong ?
Try logging out and logging back in. It worked for me.
