Remek Daging (Hemigraphis alternata)

There are lots of these types of plants in my front yard. People where I live call it the Remek Daging plant or its scientific name Hemigraphis alternata. No one specifically breeds it but it grows wild in open places exposed to indirect sunlight.

Location Bogor Regency, West Java Indonesia

It has dark green, slightly bluish, slightly shiny leaves and white flowers which actually look quite beautiful. The plants that grow in my yard are not very tall, only about 10 centimeters above ground level. And indeed I didn't see any of these plants exceeding 10 centimeters in height in my yard.

According to people where I live, this plant can be used as a traditional medicinal plant which is said to cure diarrhea. But I don't know for sure whether research has been done on the benefits of this plant as a traditional medicine or not. What is certain is that if this plant is useful as a traditional medicinal plant then this plant should be cultivated, lest this plant be difficult to obtain in the future.
