Cookeina tricholoma mushroom!
This mushroom grows in clusters on damp tree trunks, probably because the weather has been rainy for the past few days. When I approached it, the mushroom looked so beautiful with a smooth inner surface of the cup and a furry texture on the outside. I immediately thought, this would definitely be a really interesting photo object.
I attached a macro lens and started looking for the best angle. Because the light was a bit dim under the shade of the trees, I used an additional small light so that the details could be seen clearly. When I took some photos, it felt like seeing an amazing mini world. Each mushroom seemed to have its own personality, standing gracefully in the middle of the rotten tree trunks.
After I was satisfied with the photos, I tried to find information about this mushroom. It turns out, Cookeina tricholoma usually grows in tropical areas and often appears on rotten wood or damp twigs. In addition to its attractive shape, this mushroom also plays an important role in the forest ecosystem, helping to decompose organic matter.
Seeing this beautiful mushroom made me more aware of how many small miracles around us are often missed if we don't pay close attention. If you have ever found this mushroom or any other unique mushroom, please tell me! I would love to discuss and learn more about fungi from you.
