Today I want to share a story about one of my pets that has been with me for quite a long time, a flowerhorn fish (Amphilophus labiatus × Cichlasoma trimaculatum). I have kept this fish since it was small, maybe around 5 cm. Initially, I bought it at a fish market near my house just because I was curious about its unique shape.

Now, after several months of patient care, my flowerhorn has grown quite large. Its sturdy body with striking red and black patterns really looks beautiful, especially when exposed to light. The protruding head or commonly called "jenong" is also starting to be clearly visible, adding to its appeal.

Every morning and evening, I always take the time to feed it. Its favorite food is special flowerhorn pellets that I mix with small shrimp for additional protein. In addition, I also routinely clean the aquarium so that the water stays clear and my fish stays healthy.

Today, I tried to take a picture of the flowerhorn. It wasn't easy, because this fish is quite active and keeps swimming here and there. With a little patience, I finally managed to get some pretty good photos. I used additional lighting to make the color of the scales look sharper in the photo. The result? I think it's satisfying enough to try to share here.

Keeping this flowerhorn really gave me a new experience. I understand more about the needs of ornamental fish and how to keep them healthy. In addition, seeing its growth and beauty every day gives a sense of satisfaction.
