Quiero una Corona de Navidad algo monocromática, que tenga mucho dorado, que sea simple pero extravagante a la vez. Ese es mi gusto para el elemento decorativo para la puerta de mi habitación. Y no la voy a buscar en ningún lugar, la voy a realizar con mi creatividad y utilizando los materiales que ya tengo. Por ejemplo una guirnalda dorada que llevaba mi arbolito del año pasado, una cinta dorada que todavía tengo guardada y para darle un toque distintivo realicé un Árbol de Navidad acolchado con una tela de cuadros donde predomina el color rojo y que me parece ideal.
Ya la hice, quedé enamorada y quiero mostrarles lo fácil y súper rápido que es este proyecto DIY... Bienvenidos.
I want a somewhat monochromatic Christmas Wreath, that has a lot of gold, that is simple but extravagant at the same time. That's my taste for the decorative element for my bedroom door. And I'm not going to look for it anywhere, I'm going to make it with my creativity and using the materials I already have. For example, a golden garland that my little tree from last year wore, a golden ribbon that I still have saved and to give it a distinctive touch I made a Christmas Tree padded with a checkered fabric where the color red predominates and that seems ideal to me.

Mi proyecto de decoración navideña, consta de dos elementos fundamentalmente:
Un Árbol de Navidad Acolchado. Esto lo haré con la figura en poliestireno, y forrada en tela sin costura tradicional, sino con silicón caliente.
Corona: Realizando la estructura con cartón reciclado, decorado con guirnalda dorada y un hermoso lazo como protagonista.
Ambos elementos se combinarán y el resultado me encantó, ahora les explico el paso a paso:
My Christmas decoration project basically consists of two elements:
A Quilted Christmas Tree. I will do this with the figure in polystyrene, and lined in fabric without traditional sewing, but with hot silicone.
Crown: Making the structure with recycled cardboard, decorated with a golden garland and a beautiful bow as the protagonist.
Both elements will be combined and I loved the result, now I will explain the step by step:
Aproveché estas dos hojas o piezas de poliestireno, estas vinieron en unas cajas de unas tablets y que guardé por mucho tiempo. Dibujé el diseño del vector del árbol de navidad, tuve que pegarlas como ven en las imágenes para que pudiera cubrir bien el diseño, y lo recorté.
Es importante decirles que, utilicé esto porque lo tenía guardado esperando utilizar en algún proyecto de manualidades, pero realmente podemos acolchar con guata, foami o goma Eva, con fieltro, etc.
I took advantage of these two sheets or pieces of polystyrene, these came in some boxes of tablets and which I kept for a long time. I drew the vector design of the Christmas tree, I had to glue them as you see in the images so that it could cover the design well, and I cut it out.
It is important to tell you that, I used this because I had it saved waiting to use it in a craft project, but we can really quilt with batting, foam or Eva rubber, with felt, etc.

Ahora con la tela de cuadros, es una tela como tipo escocesa que no sé por qué, pero la asocio mucho con las decoraciones de navidad y me gustó para este proyecto. Corté dos piezas que cubrieran bien todo el árbol de navidad de poliestireno.
Procedí a "coser con silicón caliente" y me refiero a ir colocando silicón caliente en la tela debajo del árbol y por su alrededor, justamente al lado, y pegar en ese mismo lugar la tela de arriba.
Now with the plaid fabric, it is a plaid type fabric that I don't know why, but I associate it a lot with Christmas decorations and I liked it for this project. I cut two pieces that would cover the entire Styrofoam Christmas tree well.
I proceeded to "sew with hot silicone" and I mean placing hot silicone on the fabric under the tree and around it, right next to it, and gluing the fabric above in that same place.

Puedo ejercer presión con cualquier objeto, yo utilicé un palito de madera, pero puede ser con el bolígrafo, la tijera, con lo que sea. El objetivo es que efectivamente se aprecie bien la forma del árbol de navidad de poliestireno. Luego, recorto siguiente la forma que ya se evidencia muy bien.
Para darle más características del árbol de navidad, le coloqué unas tiras decorativas de lado a lado simulando la decoración de navidad. Éste árbol está listo, lo voy a reservar para realizar la corona de navidad, que haré desde cero.
I can apply pressure with any object, I used a wooden stick, but it can be with a pen, scissors, anything. The objective is to really see the shape of the polystyrene Christmas tree. Then, I cut out the shape that is already very clearly evident.
To give it more characteristics of the Christmas tree, I placed some decorative strips from side to side simulating the Christmas decoration. This tree is ready, I'm going to reserve it to make the Christmas wreath, which I will make from scratch.

Con un cartón reciclado de una caja, dibujé un círculo ayudándome de un plato, luego a marqué otro círculo con 5cms de distancia del primero y recorté el interior y exterior de ambos, dejando solo un aro que será la base de a corona.
Con una guirnalda dorada forré toda este aro de cartón, dando vueltas y fijando con silicón caliente.
With recycled cardboard from a box, I drew a circle using a plate, then I marked another circle 5cm away from the first and cut out the inside and outside of both, leaving only a ring that will be the base of the crown.
I covered this entire cardboard ring with a golden garland, turning it around and fixing it with hot silicone.

El elemento llamativo de la corona será un lazo hermoso, que hice con una cinta dorada ancha. Se realizan dos aros o círculo con la cinta y pego con silicón caliente. Uno de ellos un poco más grande que el otro.
Uno ambos aros de cintas con un poco de hilo, simplemente dando vueltas sin coser. También dispuse de dos tiras de la cinta, a las que les hice el corte característico de los lazos, con puntas.
The eye-catching element of the wreath will be a beautiful bow, which I made from a wide gold ribbon. Two rings or circles are made with the ribbon and glued with hot silicone. One of them a little bigger than the other.
I join both rings of ribbons with a little thread, simply going around without sewing. I also had two strips of ribbon, to which I made the characteristic cut of the bows, with points.

Para Terminar uno los elementos en la parte superior de la corona, es decir coloco el lazo con sus puntas, el árbol de navidad acolchado, y también coloqué un par de campanitas doradas. Todo en la parte superior.
To finish, I put the elements at the top of the wreath, that is, I placed the bow with its tips, the padded Christmas tree, and I also placed a pair of golden bells. Everything at the top.

Tal vez te parezca un poco monocromática esta corona, pero es justo como la quería. Quería que fuese simplemente dorada, que brillara mucho, y que sus elementos también fuesen dorados pero a la vez muy discretos. El árbol de navidad acolchado con esos colores me encantó, me parece que le va muy bien y que ni compite ni se minimiza con lo demás, todo se ve muy bien.
This wreath may seem a little monochromatic to you, but it's just how I wanted it. I wanted it to be simply golden, to shine a lot, and for its elements to also be golden but at the same time very discreet. I loved the padded Christmas tree with those colors, it seems to me that it works very well and that it neither competes nor is minimized with the rest, everything looks very good.
Por supuesto que una corona de navidad necesita luces, unas pocas apenas, son más que suficientes para hacer relucir todo el dorado de ella. El lazo se ve precioso, a pesar de ser tan simple en su elaboración, esto se debe a que la cinta es de muy buena calidad.
Of course a Christmas wreath needs lights, just a few are more than enough to make all the gold on it shine. The bow looks beautiful, despite being so simple in its construction, this is because the ribbon is of very good quality.
Esta corona va para mi cuarto, estoy muy feliz de tenerla para darme la bienvenida al lugar donde descanso, donde hago mis manualidades, donde coso, donde tengo mi escritorio, ya desde la puerta se nota que es un lugar lleno de amor y eso lo agradezco.
