Sakura fan - Illustration made in the traditional way [Es/En]

El año pasado creé varios dibujos basados en el Inktober, si bien no logré crearlos todos o sencillamente los fui creando poco a poco, hay muchos de los cuales no he compartido y son muchos, como lo es este al cual titulé Sakura abanico. Cuando tenía que dibujar algo relacionado con la palabra abanico muchas ideas vinieron a mi mente, pero la que más resonó fue la de una Geisha ellas siempre portaban uno el cual manejaban con hermosa gracia. Esta cultura siempre me ha parecido muy hermosa,muy floral, muy natural, eso me encanta.

Last year I created several drawings based on Inktober, although I didn't manage to create them all or I simply created them little by little, there are many of which I haven't shared and there are many, like this one which I titled Sakura fan. When I had to draw something related to the word fan many ideas came to my mind, but the one that resonated the most was that of a Geisha they always carried one which they handled with beautiful grace. This culture has always seemed very beautiful to me, very floral, very natural, I love that.

La vestimenta es tan detallada y colorida, que podrías perderte en ella por horas y aún así poder encontrar nuevos detalles, es algo fascinante sin duda. Hace algunos años cuando era adolescente pude leer el libro Geisha historia que luego llevaron a la pantalla grande años más tarde, una película que incluso el día de hoy emociona a mi mamá. En la ilustración coloqué muchos detalles, las flores, algunos detalles en el Kimono. Hacer este tipo de dibujos me recuerda mucho mi infancia y la influencia de los animes,podías ver detalles tan marcados de la cultura China y Japonesa, creo que es algo que los caracteriza, inyectar esos detalles, como las flores Sakura o flores de Cerezo.

The clothing is so detailed and colorful, you could get lost in it for hours and still be able to find new details, it's fascinating without a doubt. Some years ago when I was a teenager I was able to read the book Geisha, a story that was taken to the big screen years later, a movie that even today excites my mom. In the illustration I placed many details, the flowers, some details in the Kimono. Doing this kind of drawings reminds me a lot of my childhood and the influence of anime, you could see details so marked of Chinese and Japanese culture, I think it is something that characterizes them, injecting those details, such as flowers Sakura or Cherry flowers.

Esta ilustración es bastante sencilla, logré crearla el año pasado bastante rápido por el tema del Inktober como dije primeramente, lo que me tomó más tiempo crear fue su cabello, quería darle un aspecto delicado, brillante y perfectamente recogido, lo demás fue un poco más sencillo, capturar la delicadeza de la Geisha y aplicar unos tonos de color pasteles.

This illustration is quite simple, I managed to create it last year quite fast because of the Inktober theme as I said first, what took me more time to create was her hair, I wanted to give it a delicate, shiny and perfectly gathered look, the rest was a bit simpler, capture the delicacy of Geisha and apply some pastel shades of color.

Todos mis dibujos los comienzo con un boceto, explorando las direcciones que deseo para el personaje, terminó haciendo por lo menos tres, trato en lo posible de no borrar ya que esto modifica la textura del papel y cuando aplicas el color se nota una gran diferencia en el trazo, es por ello que trato de borrar únicamente cuando hago el delineado principal, porque tampoco me gusta aplicar el color por encima de las líneas de mi boceto.

All my drawings I start with a sketch, exploring the directions I want for the character, I end up doing at least three, I try as much as possible not to erase because this modifies the texture of the paper and when you apply the color you notice a big difference in the stroke, that's why I try to erase only when I do the main outline, because I do not like to apply the color above the lines of my sketch.

Es importante para mí mantener la hoja lo más pulcra posible para aplicar los colores, me encanta ver un trabajo limpio, eso hará la diferencia en el resultado final, los colores del cabello los elegí para dar un aspecto de reflejos por las flores y lo trabajé con un marcador casi gastado y bolígrafo color negro. Los demás aspectos de la ilustración las trabajé combinado colores de madera y marcadores, haciendo contrastes. Ya para finalizar di un segundo y definitivo delineado, marcando los detalles del dibujo, respetando la delicadeza del trabajo.

It is important for me to keep the sheet as neat as possible to apply the colors, I love to see a clean work, that will make the difference in the final result, I chose the hair colors to give an aspect of reflections by the flowers and I worked it with a marker almost worn and black pen. The other aspects of the illustration I worked with a combination of wood colors and markers, making contrasts. Finally I gave a second and definitive outline, marking the details of the drawing, respecting the delicacy of the work.

Así como esta ilustración tengo algunas más que tienen bastante tiempo creadas y pero sin compartir, suele pasar que creamos y guardamos, regalamos y así. Hoy me reencontré con Sakura abanico y me dió mucha alegría, le dió color a mi día. Es lindo que lo que haces y disfrutas tenga el poder de devolverte a un lugar seguro.

In addition to this illustration I have some more that have been created for a long time but without sharing, it usually happens that we create and keep, give away and so on. Today I met Sakura fan again and it has given me a lot of joy, it has given color to my day. It's nice that what you do and enjoy has the power to bring you back to a safe place.
