Dragon Ball Akira memories - Illustration done in a traditional way [Es/En]

Hace unos poco días se dió la noticia de que el creador de Dragón Ball, el mangaka Akira Toriyama habia muerto y al igual que muchas personas me hizo sentir cierta nostalgia. Desde pequeña mi mundo al igual que muchos otros niños estuvo influenciado por el universo creado por Akira a tal punto que mis días los consumía dibujando historias y personajes que yo inventaba en cuadernos y terminaba incorporando a muchos personajes de Dragon Ball. Recuerdo que atiborré muchos cuadernos, mejorando el estilo de dibujo.

En mi infancia pude ver la creación mas grande de Akira desde el principio y debo admitir que es la saga que más me gusta del universo de Dragon Ball porque tanto la historia y dibujo son exclusivamente de Toriyama, esta saga está cargada de inocencia, humanismo, amistad, aventuras por parte de un grupo de personajes siendo Gokú el principal trayendo consigo un misterio sobre si mismo y adaptandose a su entorno.

A few days ago the news broke that the creator of Dragon Ball, the mangaka Akira Toriyama had died and like many people it made me feel a certain nostalgia. Since I was little, my world, like many other children, was influenced by the universe created by Akira to such an extent that my days were consumed drawing stories and characters that I invented in notebooks and I ended up incorporating many characters from **Dragon Ball **. I remember that I crammed many notebooks, improving the drawing style.

In my childhood I was able to see the greatest creation of Akira from the beginning and I must admit that it is the saga that I like the most in the Dragon Ball universe because both the story and drawing are exclusively by **Toriyama **, this saga is full of innocence, humanism, friendship, adventures on the part of a group of characters, Goku being the main one, bringing with him a mystery about himself and adapting to his environment.

Es por ello que quise traer algunas ilustraciones de los principios de este enorme universo creado por Tori y los fabulosos que eran los pósters que salían con cantidad de detalles, naves,armas,nubes, había mucho que te indicaban que este mundo no solo estaba centrado en pelear una batalla con un villano.

La historia mantenía una secuencia bastante equilibrada, quizás algo pensado por su creador para que los niños pudiesen identificarse en ella. Es por ello que para mí la saga de Dragón Ball fue la mejor de todas 😍

That is why I wanted to bring some illustrations of the beginnings of this enormous universe created by Tori and the fabulous posters that came out with lots of details, ships, weapons, clouds, there was a lot that told you that this world He wasn't just focused on fighting a battle with a villain.

The story maintained a fairly balanced sequence, perhaps something intended by its creator so that children could identify with it. That's why for me the Dragon Ball saga was the best of all 😍

Para crear esta ilustración, decidí navegar por muchos pósters creados por Akira que son magia pura, también me dije que deseaba hacerlos con tonos sepias como salían en algunas ediciones, estos tonos dan cierta nostalgia y me encanta.

To create this illustration, I decided to browse many posters created by Akira that are pure magic, I also told myself that I wanted to make them with sepia tones like they appeared in some editions, these tones give a certain nostalgia and I love it.

Y volví a ser niña nuevamente creando esta ilustración, al realizar el boceto principal que lo logré con un lápiz de grafito común recordé esos tiempos donde pasaba horas tratando de lograr dibujar a estos personajes, coleccionando calcomanías y barajitas para llenar álbumes.

And I became a child again creating this illustration, when I made the main sketch that I achieved with a common graphite pencil I remembered those times where I spent hours trying to draw these characters, collecting stickers and cards to fill albums.

A pesar de las dificultades que tuve para lograr la ilustración, pude llevarla adelante, luego del boceto principal hice un delineado con un bolígrafo punta fina negro y posteriormente borré las líneas del boceto principal, para que no interfiriera con los rotuladores. Fuí incorporando cada tono, y volví a repasar donde deseaba algunas sombras, tambien incorporé algunos achurados para darle algunos detalles que en la imagen original no están pero que me parecieron lindos. Además di detalles con un color blanco que me pareció bastante genial.

Despite the difficulties I had in achieving the illustration, I was able to carry it out, after the main sketch I made an outline with a black fine tip pen and later I erased the lines of the main sketch, so that it would not interfere with the markers. I incorporated each tone, and I went back to review where I wanted some shadows, I also incorporated some shades to give it some details that are not in the original image but that I thought were nice. I also gave details with a white color that I thought was quite cool.

Los materiales que utilicé fueron rotuladores, lapicero tinta blanca, lápiz de grafito, borrador moldeable, hoja de papel tipo carta. Espero que les guste el resultado final porque a mí me encantó, los colores quedaron fabulosos. No dejen de comentar que les pareció 😍

The materials I used were markers, white ink pen, graphite pencil, moldable eraser, and a sheet of letter paper. I hope you like the final result because I loved it, the colors were fabulous. Don't forget to comment what you think 😍
