Hello, how are you? I dont know the magic behind the taste of grilled Hotdog but it the one of the best thing I ever tasted, before I was why, do that? I thought frying it was the best, but grilled is the best one.

So for today's street food, I am going to make a grilled hot dog, which is the most expensive of all the street foods I have ever bought when I was a little hahaha! But when I am with my uncle or aunt, it is always free for me LOL.

Materials I Used:

1.JPG

  • Glass Sheet
  • Poylmer Clay
  • Portable Weighing Scale
  • Gum Container
  • Toothpick
  • Clay tool
  • Soft Pastels
  • Makeup Brush
  • Eyepin
  • Silicone Mat
  • Oven
  • UV Lamp
  • Disposable Gloves
  • UV Resin
  • Pliers
  • Keychain

Craft Time!

So for this part, I am going to use red clay. I am going to condition it until the texture is soft and stretchy enough to work with.

And then I weigh the clay I will need on the portable weighing scale. This is an important process if you want to sell or want a clay keychain of equal size.

After that, I shape it into a hot-dog shape. I didn't use alcohol and a Q-tip to clean it because it is clean enough to work with.

After that, I poke the clay into the toothpick, making sure to poke it in the middle to avoid any distortion, we don't like that to happen.

And then I use this as a clay tool to add the slice texture to the clay.

And I will not forget to add the texture on the end-to-end of the hot dog.

And then I added shades to the clay to look like it was grilled using soft pastel and a makeup brush. If you don't have a makeup brush, you can use a paintbrush.

And then it is time to add the eyepin, I just poke it into the right side of the clay.

21.JPG

22.JPG

And then I bake it in a pre-heated oven and set the time and temperature according to the instructions on the packaging.

24.JPG

25.JPG

After that, I poured a mixture of UV Resin and soft pastel into a disposable plastic, and then I added baked red clay chopped into small pieces and mixed them, and then I applied that mixture to the clay using a toothpick.

26.JPG

27.JPG

And then I cure it under a UV Lamp for about 5 minutes or until the stickiness is completely gone. If you don't have a UV Lamp, you can use the sun, but make sure to do it in the morning.

28.JPG

29.JPG

For this part, I am going to use two pliers and a keychain. First is to put the jump ring into the eyepin.

Using the two pliers, I lock the jump ring to secure make sure the jump ring is close enough not to fall.

Now I have a grilled hot dog keychain!
