Hola, hola, mi linda colmena de manualistas y artesanos, me alegra mucho volver a saludarlos y desearles un bendecido inicio de semana. Hace unos días, tuve la grata visita de una amiga de mi mamá, a la que no veíamos más de 6 meses, ella supo que mi mamá estaba viviendo conmigo y quiso visitarla; estuvimos conversando un buen rato, y en medio de la conversación, ella nos habló sobre una amiga que tiene en Ecuador, la cual está embarazada y tiene el parto programado para Enero, pero la amiga de mi mamá dice que va a dar a luz en Diciembre, por eso ella me pidió de favor que le hiciera un "Colgante de Bienvenida con Temática de Elefante Bebé" para el Bebé Noah que viene en camino, ella me mostró el diseño que quería tal cual y yo le modifiqué algunas cositas, para hacerlo un poquito diferente, así que me puse manos a la obra y quise compartir con ustedes el paso a paso, espero les guste.

We talked for a long time, and in the middle of the conversation, she told us about a friend she has in Ecuador who is pregnant and is due to give birth in January, but my mom's friend says she is going to give birth in December, so she asked me to make her a " Baby Elephant Welcome Pendant" for Baby Noah who is on the way. She showed me the design she wanted, and I modified a few things to make it a little different. So I got to work and wanted to share the step-by-step process with you. I hope you like it.

Para comenzar con la elaboración de éste colgante de bienvenida para bebé de elefante 🐘, primero saqué los moldes de todas las partes de éste, en foami gris el cuerpo y azul para las pesuñas.

To begin making this elephant baby welcome pendant, I first cut out the templates for all the parts: the body in gray foam and the feet in blue foam.

Después de ésto, saqué los moldes de los accesorios del colgante, en éste caso, biberón, chupón, babero, maraca, huellita de un pies y 4 elefantitos; cada uno en los foamis, según el color que se haya escogido para éstos, seguidamente, procedí a armar los accesorios.

After this, I took out the molds for the pendant accessories, in this case, a baby bottle, pacifier, bib, maraca, footprint, and four little elephants; each one in the foam, according to the color chosen for them. Next, I proceeded to assemble the accessories.

Cuando terminé de sacar los accesorios, procedí a sacar los moldes de las nubes en foami blanco, las cuales están distribuidas en, una nube grande y cuatro nubes pequeñas, las 4 nubes pequeñas, son del mismo tamaño, en ellas van, la fecha de nacimiento, el peso, la estatura y la hora.

When I finished removing the accessories, I proceeded to remove the white foam cloud molds, which are distributed into one large cloud and four small clouds. The four small clouds are the same size, and they contain the date of birth, weight, height, and time.

Luego saqué dos coronas, una grande y una pequeña en foami dorado con detalles de corazón, en foami azul escarchado.

Then I took out two crowns, one large and one small, made of gold foam with heart details, in frosted blue foam.

Terminada la carita, procedi a armar todo el elefante, al cual le coloqué la corona con detalles plateados e hice un fondo azul a la pieza completa.

Once the face was finished, I proceeded to assemble the entire elephant, placing the crown with silver details on it and adding a blue background to the entire piece.

Posteriormente, saqué las letras de bienvenido en foami escarchado azul, más sus etiquetas de fondo, que en éste caso, serían 10 etiquetas de foami blanco, con forma circulares en toda la orilla.

Next, I cut out the letters for “welcome” in blue frosted foam, along with their background labels, which in this case were 10 white foam labels with circular shapes around the edges.

Luego coloqué las letras en plancha caliente para darle volumen y las pegué sobre las etiquetas blancas con sus bordes previamente difuminado, seguidamente, pegué las letras y las etiquetas sobre un fondo de foami azul prusia y arriba del bienvenido pegué la corona.

Then I placed the letters on a hot iron to give them volume and stuck them onto the white labels with their edges previously smudged. Next, I stuck the letters and labels onto a Prussian blue foam background and stuck the crown above the word “welcome.

Cuando terminé de hacer el bienvenido, procedi a difuminar todas las nubes y pegarle los accesorios a cada una de éstas, es decir, a las nubes pequeñas le fui pegando un elefantito de un lado, específicamente en el izquierdo y del otro lado, un accesorio, por ejemplo una huellita, o una maraca y así sucesivamente.

When I finished making the welcome sign, I proceeded to blend all the clouds and attach accessories to each one. That is, I attached a little elephant to one side of the small clouds, specifically on the left, and on the other side, an accessory, such as a little footprint or a maraca, and so on.

Saqué en foami dorado el nombre del Bebé "Noah", le hice un fondo con foami azul escarchado, y también saqué los item que van en las nubes pequeñasque son: "Naci", "Hora", "Pesé" y "Medí"; a estos ítem les hice un fondo azul prusia sin escarcha y los pegué en cada una de las nubes.

Finalmente, procedí a pegar todas las piezas ya armadas, sobre la cinta razo, para esto, coloqué la cinta doblada a la mitad sobre el piso, con una abertura de 14 cm aproximadamente, luego pegué el bienvenido con la coron, sobre la cinta, dejando 13 cm de espacio desde el doblé de la cinta hacia abajo, seguidamente, debajo del bienvenido, pegué el elefante y debajo del elefante la nube, todo estos tres van sobre la cinta abierta y luego corté el sobrante de cinta que quedó de la nube grande, para pegarlas debajo de la misma, pero más abierta, para pegar las nubes pequeñas.

Finally, I proceeded to glue all the assembled pieces onto the ribbon. To do this, I placed the ribbon folded in half on the floor, with an opening of approximately 14 cm, then I glued the welcome sign with the crown onto the ribbon, leaving 13 cm of space from the fold of the ribbon downwards. Next, I glued the elephant under the “Welcome” sign and the cloud under the elephant. All three of these go on the open ribbon. Then I cut off the excess ribbon left over from the large cloud to glue them under it, but more open, to glue the small clouds.

Y así quedó éste hermoso colgante, que tú también puedes hacer aplicando éste paso a paso, además tienes la ventaja de que puedes hacerlo para una niña, cambiando los colores y los nombres, solo debes crear tu propio estilo, colocando otros detalles de bebé.
