Hace más de 15 días regresé a mi país, ya que me encontraba en Brasil, pero se extraña mucho la tierra donde se nace y en especial a la familia, de hecho el proyecto de hoy está relacionado con una personita muy especial para mi, que forma parte cercana de mi familia, ella es mi querida sobrina Astrid, que va a dar sus primeros pasos en la Educación Inicial en éste año escolar, es por eso que quise darle un pequeño obsequio realizado por mis manos, se trata de un hermoso cintillo tricolor, en tonos blancos, azules y rojos, con bellos adornos de pompones y lazos. Para comenzar con la fábricación de éste cintillo, lo primero que hice fue cortar 2 piezas de cinta tricolor de 1 cm de largo y coloqué una encima de la otra, haciendo coincidir todas sus orillas.

To start making this headband, the first thing I did was to cut 2 pieces of tricolor ribbon 1 cm long and placed one on top of the other, matching all their edges.

Luego cosí sus orillas laterales, realizando una costura de punto en hilván, Y de esta manera lograr formar, un canal por donde introduciré el cintillo.

Then I sewed its side edges, making a basting stitch seam, and in this way I managed to form a channel through which I will introduce the headband.

Una vez que terminé de realizar toda la costura por las orillas de las cintas, procedí a introducir el cintillo por el canal que se formó.

Posterior a esto tomé 2 trozos de la tela de peluche, los apreté con las manos para hacer dos montonsitos y con hilo de coser blanco, comencé a enrollarlos hasta darles forma de pelota o esfera.

After that, I took 2 pieces of the stuffed fabric, pressed them with my hands to make two small piles and with white sewing thread, I started to roll them into a ball or sphere shape.

Cuándo terminé de darle forma a mis 2 trozos de telas, procedí a cortar 2 cuadrados de la misma tela de 7×7 Para forrar las 2 esferas pequeñas. Para esto, coloque cada esfera en cada uno de los cuadrados, envolví y con una aguja e hilo sujeté todo y corte el excedente, De esta manera quedarán listos los pompones.

When I finished shaping my 2 pieces of fabric, I proceeded to cut 2 squares of the same 7×7 fabric to cover the 2 small spheres. For this, I placed each sphere in each of the squares, wrapped and with a needle and thread I sewed it all together and cut the excess, this way the pompoms will be ready.

Una vez que estuvieron listos los pompones, procedí a pegarlos en la parte superior del cintillo,específicamente en el centro, dejando una separación entre cada uno de ellos de 8 cm.

Once the pompoms were ready, I proceeded to glue them on the top of the headband, specifically in the center, leaving a separation of 8 cm between each one of them.

Para terminar de adornar el cintillo, tomé 2 piezas de cinta falla roja de 8 cm de largo, para hacer 2 lazos. estos 2 pequeños lazos, los hice de la manera siguiente: Uní los extremos de cada cinta en el centro de la misma, haciendo una costura en hilván, para luego halar y fruncir el centro de la cinta, y ese mismo hilo, lo enrollé en el mismo lugar, para asegurar el centro del lazo.

To finish decorating the headband, I took 2 pieces of red falla ribbon, 8 cm long, to make 2 bows. I made these 2 small bows in the following way: I joined the ends of each ribbon in the center of the ribbon, making a basting stitch, to pull and gather the center of the ribbon, and that same thread, I rolled it in the same place, to secure the center of the bow.

Asimismo realicé 2 pequeños lazos más, pero con cinta falla tricolor, utilizando 2 piezas de 6 cm de largo a la cual les realicé el mismo procedimiento que en el Paso anterior.

I also made 2 more small bows, but with tricolor ribbon, using 2 pieces of 6 cm long to which I did the same procedure as in the previous step.

Terminado los lazos, coloqué el pequeño lazo tricolor encima del rojo y ambos lo pegué en el pompón.

Once the ribbons were finished, I placed the small tricolor ribbon on top of the red one and glued them both on the pompom.
