Hoy quise publicar un dibujo del que estoy bastante orgullosa pero que no sabía si podría compartir con ustedes por el hecho de que no tiene un registro completo del paso a paso. Aún así decidí arriesgarme a publicarlo, con la condición de ser bastante detallada en la narración del procedimiento, ya saben, para compensar la ausencia de fotografías alusivas a ciertas partes importantes del proceso.
Today I wanted to publish a drawing that I’m quite proud of but wasn’t sure if I could share with you because it doesn’t have a complete record of the step-by-step process. Still, I decided to take the risk and publish it, on the condition of being quite detailed in the narration of the procedure, you know, to compensate for the absence of photographs related to certain important parts of the process.
Este dibujo es de hace al rededor de dos años atrás, en ese tiempo no tenía pensado subir cosas a Hive.blog, además, mi papá fue quien me lo pidió a último momento para una actividad que tuvo en el colegio en el que trabaja como profesor, es por ello que tuve que hacerlo lo más rápido posible (era para el día siguiente), es por ello que no tuve tiempo de tomar tantas fotografías.
This drawing is from about two years ago; at that time, I hadn’t planned on uploading things to Hive.blog. Moreover, my dad was the one who asked me for it at the last minute for an activity he had at the school where he works as a teacher, which is why I had to do it as quickly as possible (it was for the next day), and that’s why I didn’t have time to take many photographs.
Quizá el dibujo pueda verse pequeño, pero en realidad las medidas son las de medio papel bond; es considerablemente grande.
The drawing may look small, but in reality, its dimensions are that of half a bond paper; it’s considerably large.
No trabajé con pinturas al frío, acuarelas o témperas porque no sé trabajar con ellas, así que tuve que recurrir a otras técnicas y otros materiales, como tizas, lápices de colores y el polvo de los mismos. Nunca en mi vida había hecho algo así, y no estaba segura de qué tan bien quedaría el resultado, pero de igual manera mi papá lo necesitaba, así que decidí intentarlo y hacer mi mayor esfuerzo para que quedara lo más aceptable posible.
I didn’t work with cold paints, watercolors, or temperas because I don’t know how to work with them, so I had to resort to other techniques and materials, such as chalks, colored pencils, and their powders. I had never done anything like this in my life, and I wasn’t sure how well the result would turn out, but my dad needed it anyway, so I decided to give it a try and do my best to make it as acceptable as possible.

- Lápiz de grafito.
- Lápices de colores: Naranja, amarillo, azúl claro y oscuro, lavanda, verde limón, verde pasto, verde militar, negro.
- Goma de borrar.
- Sacapuntas.
- Tizas de colores: amarillo, salmón, rosa y azúl.
- ½ Papel Bond.
- Graphite pencil.
- Colored pencils: Orange, yellow, light blue and dark blue, lavender, lime green, grass green, military green, black.
- Eraser.
- Sharpener.
- Colored chalks: yellow, salmon, pink, and blue.
- ½ Bond paper.
◈PROCEDIMIENTO ◈ ✨ ◈ PROCEDURE ◈
Lo primero que hice fue el cielo, para ello delimité las dos secciones de diferentes colores que lo componen, la sección de arriba de color azúl, y la sección naranja con unas pequeñas nubes de color lavanda.
The first thing I did was the sky; for that, I outlined the two sections of different colors that compose it: the upper section in blue and the orange section with some small lavender clouds.
Inicié con la parte naranja, a la que en realidad tuve que ponerle una mezcla de al rededor de cinco colores: utilicé tiza amarilla (que era bastante pálida) y polvo de lápiz de color amarillo para las zonas más saturadas. Usé una tiza de color salmón para las zonas intermedias, y una de color rosado, incluso tuve que mezclar ambos polvos de tiza y añadir el amarillo para obtener una especie de tono durazno bastante parecido a un naranja. Ya que al final al cielo aún le hacía falta un tono aún más saturado: decidí agregar polvo de lápiz de color naranja. Añadí todos estos polvos encima del papel e hice que el pigmento se ahdiriera al mismo frotandolo prudentemente sobre la superficie usando mis dedos. Recomiendo hacerlo de forma circular, así podemos evitar dejar rayones en el papel y conservar la estética del paisaje que necesita ser bastante uniforme.
I started with the orange part, which I actually had to mix around five colors: I used yellow chalk (which was quite pale) and yellow colored pencil powder for the more saturated areas. I used a salmon-colored chalk for the intermediate areas and a pink one; I even had to mix both chalk powders and add yellow to get a kind of peach tone quite similar to orange. Since in the end, the sky still needed an even more saturated tone, I decided to add orange colored pencil powder. I added all these powders on top of the paper and made the pigment adhere to it by rubbing it gently over the surface with my fingers. I recommend doing it in a circular motion so we can avoid leaving scratches on the paper and maintain the aesthetics of the landscape that needs to be quite uniform.
Una de las partes que más me emocionaban era hacer las nubes, porque en la imagen de referencia lucían hermosas y yo quería lograr que se vieran lo más parecidas posibles. Decidí hacerlas a mano con ayuda de mis lápices de colores, usé uno lila y uno morado, incluso un azúl ultramarino para dar aún más profundidad. Hice movimientos suaves aleatorios buscando emular las formas de las nubes y apliqué mucha y poca presión dependiendo del efecto o el tono que se necesitaba en cada sección. Este fue el resultado:
One of the parts that excited me the most was making the clouds because they looked beautiful in the reference image, and I wanted to make them look as similar as possible. I decided to do them by hand with the help of my colored pencils; I used a lilac one and a purple one, even an ultramarine blue one to add even more depth. I made soft random movements trying to emulate the shapes of the clouds and applied varying pressure depending on the effect or tone needed in each section. This was the result:
En la sección azúl del cielo repetí prácticamente los mismos pasos que hice anteriormente. En este caso sólo tuve que usar tiza azúl, polvo de lápiz de color azúl claro, y oscuro, y para las nubes llevé a cabo el mismo procedimiento que con las anteriores.
In the blue section of the sky, I practically repeated the same steps I did earlier. In this case, I only had to use blue chalk, light blue colored pencil powder, and dark blue, and for the clouds, I carried out the same procedure as before.
Llegamos a la línea de vegetación que se encuentra entre el cielo y la tierra, que en realidad son un cúmulo de árboles en el horizonte. Para ello utilicé diferentes tonalidades de verde y agregué negro para dar la profundidad y las sombras que necesitaba. A pesar de que se veía como algo difícil, fue de las cosas más sencillas del dibujo, no usé ningún método en particular, sólo coloreé de forma desordenada y algunas veces circular, de esta manera obtuve el efecto visual que esperaba, como la textura de las hojas y las copas de los árboles.
We arrive at the line of vegetation that lies between the sky and the earth, which is actually a cluster of trees on the horizon. For this, I used different shades of green and added black to give depth and shadows where needed. Although it seemed like something difficult, it was one of the simplest parts of the drawing; I didn’t use any particular method; I just colored in a messy way and sometimes in circles. This way, I achieved the visual effect I was hoping for, like the texture of leaves and tree tops.
Posteriormente delimité las zonas del pasto, y el riachuelo, trazando líneas de color verde.
Subsequently, I delineated the areas of grass and the stream by drawing green lines.
Primero di color al lado izquierdo del pasto. Esta sin duda fue una de las cosas más complicadas del dibujo, llevaba demasiados detalles y dedicación, me quedó doliendo la mano. Usé distintos tonos de verde para emular la profundidad de la superficie en la que está el pasto, su orientación y su textura. Al principio quise llenar todos los espacios con trazos largos para la textura del pasto, pero luego decidí reducir esos trazos únicamente a las zonas necesarias y lo demás colorearlo normalmente, eso me ayudaría a ahorrar tiempo y no seguir maltratando mis muñecas con toda esa cantidad de esfuerzo.
First, I colored the left side of the grass. This was undoubtedly one of the most complicated parts of the drawing; it had too many details and required a lot of dedication, and my hand ended up hurting. I used different shades of green to emulate the depth of the surface where the grass is, its orientation, and its texture. At first, I wanted to fill all the spaces with long strokes for the texture of the grass, but then I decided to reduce those strokes only to the necessary areas and color the rest normally; this would help me save time and not continue straining my wrists with all that effort.
Di color al riachuelo con tizas y lápices de color, traté de difuminar y hacer cierta degradación para que se viera natural. También coloqué las sombras del pasto en el riachuelo y el reflejo del color del cielo en ciertas zonas con ayuda de la tiza salmón.
I colored the stream with chalks and colored pencils, trying to blend and create a certain gradient so it would look natural. I also placed the shadows of the grass in the stream and the reflection of the color of the sky in certain areas with the help of salmon chalk.
Por último, coloreé de la misma manera el lado derecho del pasto.
Finally, I colored the right side of the grass in the same way.
Y eso es todo amigos. 🐰🥕 Este es el hermoso resultado, siento que a pesar del estrés, valió la pena para llegar a esto. Lo chistoso de esta anécdota es que por alguna razón mi papá olvidó llevárselo (irónico, no?), así que no sé qué habrá hecho para su actividad. De igual manera, después supe que lo había colocado en una de las paredes de un salón de clases (quién sabe para qué).
And that’s all, friends. 🐰🥕 This is the beautiful result; I feel that despite the stress, it was worth it to get to this point. The funny thing about this anecdote is that for some reason, my dad forgot to take it with him (ironic, right?), so I don’t know what he did for his activity. Anyway, later I found out that he had placed it on one of the walls of a classroom (who knows for what).

Bueno, cuando el deber llama uno hace locuras jsjsjsj, digamos que si no me moviera la necesidad y el sentido de la urgencia probablemente no me habría salido ni la mitad de decente que me quedó. (Spoiler: odio trabajar bajo presión, pero a veces me funciona). Hmm si algún día aprendo a pintar paisajes y cosillas así le regalo un monte pa su pared, o mejor, un cerro 🤣🤣🤣
