Today I bring you a nice Christmas ornament made with recycled CDs, I have a lot of them at home and for some time I was looking for something to do with them and I thought it was a good opportunity to create something nice with felt. Since my friend @belkyscabrera created a Christmas detail I wanted to follow her example and created a snowman. I hope you like it and make your own to decorate your home or Christmas tree, I placed it on our Christmas tree.

Hoy les traigo un lindo adorno navideño hecho con cd reciclado, en casa tengo muchos y desde hace algún tiempo buscaba qué hacer con ellos y me pareció propicia la oportunidad del concurso para crear algo lindo en fieltro. En vista de que mi amiga @belkyscabrera creó un detalle navideño quise seguir su ejemplo y creé un muñeco de nieve. Espero les guste y hagan el suyo para decorar su casa o árbol de navidad, yo lo coloqué en nuestro árbol navideño.

MATERIALS
A recycled cd.
Blue, white, orange and black felt.
Red and black thread.
Needle.
Costume jewelry beads.
Beads taken from anime.
Hot and cold silicone.
Hot silicone dispenser.
2 black buttons.
A piece of red fabric ribbon.
Gold fabric ribbon (just enough to hang it).
Thin red fabric ribbon (just enough to make a small bow).
Scissors.
2 black rhinestones for the eyes.

MATERIALES
Un cd reciclado.
Fieltro azul, blanco, anaranjado y negro.
Hilo rojo y negro.
Aguja.
Perlitas de bisutería.
Bolitas sacadas de anime.
Silicón frío y caliente.
Dispensador de silicón caliente.
2 botones negros.
Un pedacito de cinta de tela roja.
Cinta de tela dorada (lo necesario para colgarlo).
Cinta de tela roja delgada (lo suficiente para hacer un lazo pequeño).
Tijera.
2 piedritas negras de bisutería para los ojos.

ELABORATION
The first thing I did was to apply cold silicone on the edge of the cd to glue the blue felt. Once glued I trimmed the excess with the scissors.

ELABORACIÓN
Lo primero que hice fue aplicar silicón frío en el borde del cd para pegar el fieltro azul. Una vez pegado recorté el exceso con la tijera.

I drew the snowman mold on paper and transferred it to felt, marking it with a crayon. I cut it out to get the body of the snowman.

Dibujé el molde del muñeco de nieve en papel y lo llevé al fieltro, marcándolo con un creyón. Lo recorté para obtener el cuerpo del muñeco de nieve.

Stitch red thread around the body of the snowman as shown in the pictures. I attached the little black stones chosen for the eyes with black thread and needle. I overlapped the red fabric ribbon on the neck of the snowman to simulate a scarf.

Di puntadas con hilo rojo alrededor del cuerpo del muñeco de nieve como observan en las fotos. Fijé las piedritas negras escogidas para los ojos con hilo negro y aguja. Sobrepuse la cinta de tela roja en el cuello del muñeco y así simular una bufanda.

I attached the red ribbon to the back of the doll with thread stitches. I cut out and glued the nose of the doll in orange felt, using cold silicone, if you like you can stitch it with thread instead of silicone.

Fijé la cinta roja por detrás del muñeco con puntadas de hilo. Recorté y pegué la nariz del muñeco en fieltro anaranjado, usando silicón frío, si gustan pueden darle puntadas con hilo en vez de silicón.

I attached the black buttons with needle and thread stitches. I cut out the hat in black felt and applied cold silicone to the hat and the rest of the doll's body to adapt it to the Christmas ornament.

Fijé los botones negros con puntadas de hilo y aguja. Recorté el sombrero en fieltro negro y apliqué silicón frío en el sombrero y resto del cuerpo del muñeco para adaptarlo al adorno navideño.

I glued with hot silicone the jewel beads around the blue felt to simulate snow, to complete the snow effect I also glued little balls taken from the anime and I got the result you can see in the photo. I also glued a little bow on the lower edge of the ornament, made of thin red fabric ribbon and I put a golden ribbon handle to hang it.

Pegué con silicón caliente las perlitas de bisutería alrededor del fieltro azul para simular nieve, para completar el efecto de la nieve también pegué bolitas sacadas del anime y obtuve el resultado que observan en la foto. Además le pegué un lacito en el borde inferior del adorno, hecho en cinta de tela delgada roja y le puse un asa en cinta dorada para colgarlo.
