Our DIY Trash box from Recycled materials

Every month our company always thinks of the things we need to do as a team to promote engagement and also to help us build a connection with the rest of the people.
Last year I was chosen to represent our team and @byaaaheeelou and was given a chance to use 2 hours per week to do the planning and designing. This year they did not appoint anyone on the team because they want to have everyone participate in the activities.

Our aim for this trash box using recycled materials is to promote the preservation of our environment. Every year during peak season our company come up with a theme and for this year it is "Choose to be KIND".

Going back to our team's design, we gather some materials such as old papers, some old cartolina that has already been used, glue, scissors, glue gun, and glue stick, old box, pizza box, double-sided tape, scotch tape, old paper plate, used styro, and leaves.
We cover the box with white paper and then cover it with green cartolina. After that, we started cutting the materials and the is the hand design as well as with the leaves and flower design.

After cutting everything else we started planning how would it look like and started making sure that it will not fall off.
We cover the styrofoam with old paper and attached it at the back. After that, we started putting the hand's design to cover the box and put the leaves as well. We created the trunk and the branches using the old box. We started attaching the leaves and we added also at the top the name of our team.
We are so proud of the outcome, it may not be the best design but the main thing that made us proud is the fact that everyone participated and put effort into it. Now, we will be collecting plastic bottles to fill in the trash box.
The main purpose of this activity is not only to preserve our environment but to show kindness and respect as well. It is also in line with our year peak's theme to "CHOOSE TO BE KIND".

I can't wait for the upcoming activities wherein we can continue sharing our effort and building connection amongst our teammates.
