Without Tick-Tock, Tick-Tock, but it's alive again

A few years ago, in a cafe, I saw a clock that I really liked.
A replica of the old double-sided clocks that were seen in old, black and white movies, was most often seen at train and bus stations.

I found it very easily and it was not expensive. An ideal combination.
But so "ideal", it didn't work properly 🤨

Changing the batteries too often, setting the hands since it was quite late, caused me to take it off the wall.

Because according to Feng Shui, a malfunctioning watch or a watch that shows the wrong time should not be kept in the house.
All the faulty items you have in your home reflect internal and external clutter, and that's not something we want in our lives.
The clock that you have in your home should be impeccably accurate, so that your life runs smoothly, without friction and stoppages...

And so, two holes remained on the wall where it was attached, and the complete case was lowered into the basement, until I find and buy new quartz watch mechanisms.
I went around the shops but couldn't find them anywhere.
Probably it is not worthwhile for the sellers to keep the mechanisms, when they are already selling complete watches...
But since I was sure that the mechanism could be bought separately, I did not give up.

AliExpress is always an option, but due to my negative experience with them and the long wait for the last few packages I ordered, I didn't even consider them.

And then my partner asked me, why don't I look for those mechanisms on Temu, which appeared in the last few months and breaks down how it works (at least for this moment).
She tells me that the package arrived for her in 10 days.

Maybe some of you will wonder why I say that it is 10 days for delivery from AliExpress or Temu, faster delivery (if, for example, you live in Germany, GB or America), but I was happy when what I ordered was delivered to me in less than two moon...

We ordered two mechanisms and waited for them to arrive.
During that time I took apart the watch, tore out the old mechanisms and hands and cleaned it, so that it is ready to wait for the installation of the new heart 🙂

In less than 20 days, the package was there.

Everything was delivered as it was paid for, recommendation for Temu.com

I took to mounting the mechanical one and then the other side of the clock.
The hands I bought were longer than the diameter of the clock, so I had to shorten them, so they wouldn't get stuck on the case.

I mounted one side, inserted the battery and was happy. I ordered a silent mechanism, there will be no more that familiar Tick-Tock sound.

When I mounted the other half as well I inserted the battery, but the mechanism gave no signs of life.
So is it possible that the mechanism is faulty.
I wanted to believe that it wasn't and that it was the battery.
I took another new battery, with which the watch worked.

So, Temu, kudos to you, I'm going to discuss with the battery seller 😀

After completing both sides, i wiped the glass and inserted the mounted clocks into their slots.
I closed the halves and mounted the clock on the already drilled hole in the wall.

This morning when I woke up, my look from the mobile phone screen, where I looked at the time, immediately flew over to the repaired wall clock, which is now accurate, as if it was from Switzerland, not Chinese for less than 5e 😃

Lol. This last part is funny;

which is now accurate, as if it was from Switzerland, not Chinese for less than 5e 😃

It's crazy how we cherish certain things we've seen on TV and we would love to own and then all of nowhere something tries to stop this from happening

However, we are happy for you. After so much headache over your beloved clock, we have Temu and your partner to thank for making your dream of having this clock work perfectly

You did great not giving up on your clock and great job on getting it up and running.

Thanks for your support 🙂
