It's Christmas season guys, and I'm excited to share a fun and festive project I recently completed, a handmade Christmas decorative frame. It’s simple, affordable, and adds a beautiful personal touch to any holiday space. Whether you enjoy crafting for relaxation or love creating décor pieces for your home, this project is a perfect way to get into the Christmas spirit.
In the steps that follow, I’ve put together a clear pictorial guide showing how I made the frame from start to finish. Every stage is easy to follow, so feel free to recreate it exactly or add your own creative twists. I hope it inspires you to try something new and enjoy the joy of DIY this season! In a few steps, I'll be showing you how I achieved this beautiful frame.
Things you'll need for this project;

  1. 1 long wooden plank
  2. Christmas grass/ garland, one red,2 green
  3. Nails 1"
  4. Hammer
  5. Christmas balls and other ornaments

Step by step guide

Step 1.
Cut the plank according to the size you want your frame, for this frame I used 68/48cm. Go ahead and nail it together to form a rectangular frame.

Step 2.
Now, cut the red garland into 4 pieces and wrap them slightly below each of the the 4 corners of the wooden frame.

Step 3.
Cut the green garlands and wrap them around the remaining part of the frame.

Step 4.
By this time your frame should be ready for the finishing touches, so you can go ahead and attach your Christmas balls and other ornaments to the frame to make it more colourful. I didn't have much ornaments so I used what I had at home.
